Right now mine it.is at 200, which seems asequeatern, but with the tradutt post addition the need has skyrocketed. Has is/should be addressed?

Probably not necessary to keep every p.m. you get forever. I forget what our limit is but I do know that e_poison raised it a bit when the trading Post opened. Go through your PM's and delete the ones that you don't need anymore. I clean out my inbox two or three times a day.

Beathappening - I just came to general to put a post directed an you about your PM's . I wanted to let you know that it is not allowing me to PM you back. I keep getting a message that says "Some users couldn’t be added as they have disabled private message receipt." I think you need to change something in your settings - I cant reply to you.

I agree. Will something bad happens if everyone's level gets too hgh? Just playing devil's advocate,. what would leaving the limit at ♾ for everyone do assuming each a.byte or data is beyond miniscule?

At a tiny forum like this?

Wouldn't one person changing one variable at one time, be easier than everyone changing it to the ones (I e

Moving this to suggestions forum because this is about forum functionality and not kratom.

Remember, there is 200 sent and 200 inbox, plus you can create additional folders to hold even more. So, everyone really has the capacity to store around 1000 messages. I feel that's more than enough right now. I raised it when the trading post opened.

If you absolutely need keep your PMs, there's an option to export them at the bottom. And yes, there is finite storage space. Once I upgrade the hosting next month, I can possibly increase it again.

Eh, at 1000 total messages sent and received in different folders, I'd say just leave it as is. At that point, delete some messages, export, or switch your correspondence to email. Don't burden the small forum more to try to host your messaging when we have so many alternatives.

Oh man, I wish I knew this a long time ago! I'm having to go through and delete messages daily! How do I create a folder, I couldn't find it. Also, my inbox is limited to 150 messages.

There’s an option on the Inbox drop down menu on your PM page called “Rules, folders and settings” that will let you create new folders. From here, you can also find more options for ways to store and handle PMs.

In total, you should be able to store around 1000 messages, and if that isn’t enough, you can export your current messages into your preferred format.

This limit will be increased during the next upgrade.

Beathappening - you keep on sending me PM's. I am unable to respond, it says your mailbox wont accept messages. I dont want you to think Im ignoring your messages!

I believe I have it fixed on my end. More than likely it was my fault, thank you mods for your help and patience

Old thread...I am having problems with my recipients receiving PMs. They sit in my Outbox for half a day and then disappear. It has happened a few times and really sucks.

What is the hold up?

MOD NOTE

Typically messages stay in your outbox until the intended recipient has read that particular message....

That means the recipients are taking a day and a half to read the message.

OUTBOX = message sent, but not read.
SENT = message has been read by recipient

There is NO server delay when sending PMs. It is instant always.
