Whoa! Ten bucks for an ounce?!? You're going to have a really hard time in here, selling at those prices. I hate to tell you this, but that half kilo that you're selling for $60, can buy us a whole kilo from other vendors.

I gotta agree with Wot!! I was thinking that when I read this post before too. That's just too much of a price difference for something that no one knows anything about especially....

That's just too much of a price difference for something that no one knows anything about especially....
....especially since you haven't bothered to calculate ppg with the formula Ballz uses so that you can compare apples with apples for a product that, by your own admission, you haven't even tried and aren't going to.

If you REALLY wanted to help others, you'd order a sample, try it, and review it for everyone to read. But that's clearly not the case, and right now you're just pissing on a vendor for the sake of doing so. I have zero respect for that.

$100 per kilo shipped isn't the best deal I've ever seen, but it is FAR from the worst. Why do you reserve your scorn for this new vendor, whose prices are merely on the high side of average, when there are SO many others that are actually worthy of it?

Don't even bother replying until you have a price per gram comparison that includes shipping and any other fees, because there are MANY vendors that charge far more than this one, and no one else expects vendors to give away kratom for free.

My go to is 70 a kilo shipped and more than reputable... So my issue is in comparison I can't find the logic in the pricing difference. To each their own you can feel however you please.... Just my take on it is all! And I have tried a couple of the higher priced supposed to be worth it vendors and I didn't find it remotely near worth the hype. But, that's the mystery with such a fickle plant that depends so much on an individual today chemistry, just seems maybe you lost sight of that.

And I wasn't bashing his product nor service just a simple price comparison... In which ends up being . 16/gram versus RVA at . 11/gram so that's almost 150% difference!! Try telling me that's not significant whiffy....

Try telling me that's not significant whiffy....
It's not significant.

It's very much in the reasonable range. There are vendors on our list right now who are easily at .20 ppg, and that's NOTHING compared to headshop vendors, who are into the $300-$400 per kilo range.

And it's -especially- insignificant when I look at our vendor list and see all the various vendors with less expensive leaf that anyone can try. That's why Ballzy puts all that work into it, so people won't get ripped. You don't like this guy's prices? Great! Find a different vendor -- as many as you like -- and call it done. But instead you feel like you should hurt his business with a shitty comment because you don't like his pricing.

It IS a bash, an unwarranted one, and you never did answer my question. Instead you danced around it: why are you aiming your venom at -this- new vendor's high-average pricing when there are SO many who are far worse?
I can't find the logic in the pricing difference.
Obviously. And that would be because it's literally not YOUR business, it's his. He will gain or lose customers without you, based on their interactions with him directly, IF he's given half a chance. But you just slammed him so as to take even that from him. He knows what his bills are, what he paid for his inventory, what he needs to make in order to break even. You don't. You have no idea, and neither do I. But of the two of us, only I'm honest enough to admit it; you still think you have something to say about what you know nothing of. Why is that?
And I have tried a couple of the higher priced supposed to be worth it vendors and I didn't find it remotely near worth the hype.
Okay, so where are your reviews of them then?

If you -really- wanted to help others you'd review and comment on vendors whose product you actually tried.

But you didn't. You're bashing a new vendor whose business hasn't had a chance to get off the ground yet, criticizing their pricing and calling it outrageous when it's anything but, claiming knowledge you don't have and basically whining because he won't give it away.

You seem to be doing everything in your power to steer people away from even trying him out, why is that?

Why THIS vendor?

One whom you unfairly categorized as overcharging, and whom you haven't even tried? What do you have against THIS guy that you would single him out for this kind of unfair and dishonest criticism?

It's almost like you picked out a new vendor at random. I have -zero- respect for what you just did. I believe every vendor should have a chance to stand or fall on their own merits. Maybe that's your problem with him, that he's a new vendor? Or maybe he's succeeding where you've failed? I don't know, and never will because you can't answer the simplest of questions about your motive. But whatever your reasons for attacking someone whose product you've never even tried, what you did to some guy's business today was just low.
But, that's the mystery with such a fickle plant that depends so much on an individual today chemistry, just seems maybe you lost sight of that.
Not likely. Again, you dance: I talk of facts and math, you talk of mystery and personal chemistry in your dance to avoid answering the easiest of questions about why you'd want to take a cheap shot at a new vendor.

Yet even the simplest among us could easily tell you that without vendors, we'd have no leaf at all -- and every vendor was new at some point, even the ones you like so much. Seems maybe -you- lost sight of that.
To each their own you can feel however you please.... Just my take on it is all!
I think you owe this vendor an apology for your cheap shots, to be honest. That's MY take on it.

.. which ends up being . 16/gram versus RVA at . 11/gram ... almost 150% difference!!
IN another thread today I did a work-out of the PPG math and, using RVA for the "Low Example" the difference was 180% .. the Vendor List has a 200% range - the most expensive guys are DOUBLE, compared to the least, and I don't like paying double :D

So then... we're back to Quality. Is some kratom 200% better than others? Probably but not likely.. assuming it's a "good" vendor, vetted vendor, they're not selling ANY kratom that is bunk. Just like price, it's a range - Most kratom falls around the middle of that range. The problem with quality it's very hard to be objective and quantify exactly "how" good from 1 bag of powder to the next
.. I didn't find it remotely near worth the hype.
Ahh yes... The Hype ! :D Wow there sure is lots of hype these days ? I mean, it's really HARD to ever find anyone who admits they got good average leaf. To read comments on MeWe, you'd think everything is "Fire" no matter the strain or vendor.

Back to Leaf Of Life - its a popup vendor who just registered their Doman in Feb 2018. The website is like 3 months old and .. tbh I can't seem to find many different or "hard to find strains" there. I see the same strains that everyone else has. They stock one called Good Aceh, and something called Red Enlightened. OK. Those 2 sound different but otherwise ...

I do see Smiley hyping this vendor on his MeWe swap group ! And I respect Smiley's opinion so.. you know.. he's invested and he's in business . I don't expect an objective Review, when someone has a vested interest. Follow me? lol - So like any new vendor.. there's WAY over 200+ vendors now. We really NEED more consumer reviews!!

Excellent points, and well said. And very factual, as we have come to expect from you. :D

If the point had been made the way you just made it, I'd have no problem. And not only that, you always state WHY you think a price is fair or unfair, and make it as factual a statement as you can. I have no problem with that. But that didn't happen in this thread until I got here.

My own position is simple. To me, in a sea of scammers and as you mention, paid reviews -- especially the headshop vendors -- anyone who sells kratom for 20 cents ppg or less is worth a try, and they'll rise or fall depending on their offering. Feel free to differ, but that's where I stand myself.

I don't like slamming a vendor -- especially a new one -- for nothing more than a price whine, like there's no other vendors to choose from, without even trying a sample of the guy's leaf. That's his livelihood for all I know, and how he feeds his family. Don't like his price? Okay, valid enough. But so many are worse that I don't see the point of publicly calling out a new vendor solely for that.

There is every place for valid criticism based on experiential information, and I myself called out BB last week for raising shipping price and adding a payment fee. But BB's not a new vendor, I accounted for the possibility that mistakes may have been made, and I didn't say it to keep anyone from trying out BB -- in fact I encouraged others to try BB, and I got at least one response from someone who had a better experience. That's great news, because BB has reliably good leaf, IMO, so I was glad to hear it.

No need to take potshots at new vendors.

Thanks to you, Ballz, we have a long list full of great, reasonably priced vendors from whom to choose. No need for anyone to slam a new one as happened upthread. Just pick a price that suits you better and move on.

And YES, we need MORE reviews!!! ALWAYS!!!
