Happy Warrior Kava / Gourmet Hawaiian Kava

Been advertised on TV during broadcasts of U of Hawaii football. No idea if it's any good or not. Kava aka awa in Hawaii, has cultural significance here, but not as widespread or culturally cherished like Fiji or other Polynesian islands. Not sure where this brand is grown, but if it's from Hawaii, our kava strains here are known to be very potent and different than others.
I can, however, recommend 'gourmet hawaiian kava,' as being quality and strong. It's powdered, dried from pure kava juice, fresh as possible unless you have some raw kava, which I've had (google kava from molokai, one of our islands with a kava farm), and gourmet hawaiian is as good as fresh. No need for straining either. They are frequently sold out, so keep checking their stock periodically. I like the nene variety, but they're all effective.

Hey man, saw this post about GHA and wanted to know more about their cultivars. I usually drink instant gold from FVK or Fire Island from N@H. I'm looking for heady/social kava, and i did email them w questions but they havent gotten back to me. There are so many to choose from with zero descriptions! Not good imo as far as marketing goes. Anyway, i'm super interested and saw that you like their Nene. Whats that like?

Honestly, I am a noob in the kava area, but have had it traditionally, micronized, dehydrated from the juice, and fresh. Dehydrated juice is the easiest to use, just reconstitute it with water or a beverage you think is tasty mixed with kava.
I think the owner of GHK is too busy to answer ?s, I emailed him several times and he never got back to me, though once he gave me double my order just because. He would know all about the species specific effects, but good luck establishing a conversation. I haven't tried them all, and lack the expertise to advise you aside from having the nene the most and remembering those times as very very anxiety quelling with euphoria. After a certain level, taking more kava doesn't seem to prolong the effect.

followup? I do recommend GHK just cause it's consistently good and strong and I have a hard time making a good brew the traditional way. Good luck getting in touch with the owner, though, and even if he has any in stock.
If anyone tries happy warrior, lmk, the commercials are making me curious.
bula peeps!
