Instead of rating on a scale of 1 to 10, at the end of this post I'll be logging how this strain affected me as either "not noticeable", "barely noticeable", "noticeable", "very noticeable" or "extremely noticeable" in the five categories of Energy / Focus / Motivation, Euphoria / Mood, Relaxation / Calming , Sedation and Pain Relief.

Usually I review Kratom that is new to me (a strain I've never tried before or a strain from a vendor that's new to me) and that I've recently purchased. This time I'm reviewing a batch that I received in September 2017 from a vendor I've trusted for quite some time. I wanted to do this review because a.) Krabot is on this forum's current vendor list but I haven't seen them talked about much on here (yes, they're a little more expensive than some - but not exorbitant... and I've found them to consistently have good quality) and b.) Not many Yellow strains are reviewed here and I feel they sometimes fly under the radar and can be underrated. As always, these are just my opinions. Now on to my experience with Yellow Bali...
I usually start feeling mild effects with this strain around 30 minutes after dosing. Full onset hits at about 55-60 minutes. It takes a while for it to "kick-in" for me, but once it hits it packs a punch.
I experience a very calming yet euphoric sensation. My mood is "level" - not too high, not too low, but just right. I can be silly / playful if I want to be or serious if the situation calls for it. I don't find the energetic properties to be such that I want to run a marathon or clean the entire house. But if I need to get stuff done, Yellow Bali can give me that kick in the butt that I might otherwise be lacking. This strain does calm me down significantly if I'm in "Netflix and Chill" mode, but I don't get sedated from it. For me, this wouldn't be the best choice for nighttime / before bed usage. But it's also not going to be the jet-pack strapped to your back that you might be looking for to start your morning. I find it best when used mid-day... especially on high-level pain or very stressful days. Krabot's website says Yellow Bali "strikes the perfect balance between a red and green". I wouldn't disagree, except to say if you want to get closer to the red side, then up your dose slightly. If you want closer to green, lower the dose. I prefer it around the 60 - 80% of my median dosage. If I took a full 5 gram dose of this Yellow Bali, I might have to wipe a little drool from my chin... once I realize it's there. But at the same time, I wouldn't have to worry about any pain... even if I dropped an anvil on my foot. (Disclaimer: DON'T PURPOSELY DROP A DAMN ANVIL ON YOUR FOOT!) So in case you haven't figured out what I'm trying to say, this is a potent strain... at least the batch I got in September of last year was. I can't speak on current batches (unless the batch I have is still their current batch for this strain... I don't know). One negative I've discovered when using this strain: If I'm not careful I can get a headache... even at 80%. The good news is 2 Advil nips it in the bud. That, when it does occur, usually happens near the end of the burn, which is about 6 hours.
Overall, a very positive experience with this strain. I'd say it's on the slower end of the spectrum. Lovers of Reds may greatly enjoy Yellow Bali. Those who like slower Greens may also benefit from this strain. If you're training for a UFC fight or are entering an all-night dance contest, I'd look elsewhere. Although... this strain may greatly benefit you the day after either of those events.
