Crisp Whole Leaf Freeze-dried

Crisp Kratom Freeze-dried Whole Leaf Kratom

I've had Crisp's powder before and it does not disappoint! When I saw this whole leaf freeze-dried I had to grab some. Outside of some Indo vendors, I don't know of many places you can find it. Burakorn has freeze-dried leaf, but it's crushed, not whole. Probably not a huge difference, but I like the novelty of whole leaf.

It arrived in sealed freeze-dried packaging and tbh, Crisp is one of the few vendors I would consider ingesting leaf by chewing. Their commitment to clean manufacturing and processing is second to none. So I felt comfortable chewing it right out of the bag.

I chewed about 3 to 4g of the whole leaf. It's not unpleasant tasting. Kind of reminded me of Kale. It dissolved fairly quickly as I chewed and was completely gone within 1 - 2 minutes. Leaving a slight tingling feeling and mild numbness behind.

Effects were almost immediate. A refreshing onset of energy not unlike a very a very strong coffee buzz without the jitters. It's a feeling I haven't gotten from powder and I think it's due to the fact that you are consuming the whole leaf - stem, vein, and the leaf matter that powder is made from. Fairly short legs at 1 to 1.5 hours.

I can see why native Indos chew it for the energizing effects. I have yet to make a tea from it, but I think that traditional method would be awesome as well and plan to make one soon. I'll report back on my experience.

Overall, I highly recommend trying it. At $20 per 50 grams it is a bit pricey, but we'll worth it for the novel experience!

I actually saw your review in the small batch discord before here which inspired me to order some lol.

I got 50g on the way, gonna try just chewing it like you did for those energizing effects.

I may get the mill they have for milling the leaf and start making it as a powder tea as a treat every so often since it is a little pricey in terms of long term use.

yeah, Burakorn sells some crushed freeze-dried at half the price. Honestly, I just wanted the whole leaf for the novelty. I have to say though, I am not disappointed at all.

Yup thats why I got it. Kratom is fascinating to me so I'm always researching it and studying the alkaloids and trying different ways of consuming it. I'd like to eventually get a clone and grow my own just for the experience.

I actually know a guy who is doing just that. From a little seedling. It would be a fun hobby to have!
