Capsule Machine

I have always been hesitant to cap my own Kratom but I took the plunge and purchased a 000 capsule maker that makes a 100 at a time. I only use capsules when Iโm outside of my home for the convenience but Iโve always hated the extra cost. Itโs so much easier and faster than I thought it would be and the machine was $40 which will pay for itself in no time. I made 200 caps in about 30 minutes. Herbal Life currently has a 20% off sale (code is on the site) and if you take any other supplements they have many other supplements available in bulk that you could purchase and save $$.

Capsules I make are the ONLY way I take Kratom.
About a year ago I bought a 400 capsule machine and it has made my life SO much easier (before I was making 500 capsules from each 250grams but it took five different tries and about two hours. Now I can make 400 capsules in about 20 minutes).

Which capsule machine do you use? I always toss and wash powder but the other day I found myself in a situation where I really wanted to bring capsules along with me instead of the powder. But alas, I have no capsule machine.

So I had to awkwardly sneak into the restroom and use the powder. Now Iโm thinking a capsule machine might be worth the investment for times like that.

The capsule makers I've used for years are the 100 version from Capsule-IT (if you do a web search you can buy it from several places. Here's just one:
https://www.herbaffair.com/products/cap ... ule-filler )
The 400 capsule maker I had to buy direct from China. I do not know if it's sold anymore in the U.S. but you can try a web search as well. It's actually made by the same people who make Capsule-IT, so try "400 version capsule-it maker" and see what comes up.

Thanks! Going to check this out. Is it easy to make capsules? It seems like it may be a time consuming process and may have a learning curve. I would like to figure it out though because sometimes itโs much more convenient to deal with capsules rather than trying to mix powder in public.

I just have the little $19 'the capsule machine' one and it works fine if you keep your capsules -dry-, ie = sealed in the bag with the silica pack between uses. It takes maybe 2-3 tries to make 'good' 80-90% filled capsules. Just be patient, pack, then gently repack the powder down a second time, and be careful when putting the tops on, and you should be an expert in 20-30 mins.

Hey, thanks for the info! Hopefully I will be an expert haha. Which machine do you use?

It depends on what you use and how many you are making.
I started off with the small machine mentioned above and it was a PITA and totally not worth it. So I "graduated" to the 100 capsule Capsule-IT and after one or two tries (it takes a while to get it down) it was easy-peasy. However - it would take me four or five different "sessions" to do enough for 250 grams (the normal amount of any batch I buy). At around 30 minutes a session that meant two hours to get 400-500 capsules. Now, with the 400 version, I can take 20 minutes to do 400 (and I usually don't make up the remainder, which is less than 50 grams, but store that aside).
I would not do without my machine now (remember there are some other things associated with making your own capsules, though - you need to buy the capsules, of course, which isn't expensive but IS an additional expense (about $20 per 1000), you need to store them (I use glass and plastic bottles) another expense, and you need to label them. The entire process CAN seem like work if you aren't into it, but I honestly like it and find it mostly soothing (and I can put a movie on while I do three or four batches).

----It's a size 00 unit, and it's just called 'the capsule machine', like that's the brand I guess. I think you only buy one size at a time, so check and be sure what size capsules you want to end up with. And like Kelley said, it's not like it's fun to do, but it's easy enough, and sort of satisfying. Plus, obviously you save a ton of money capping them yourself.
