Basic impressions of sample pack from Evergreen Tree

Post by Babel-17 »

I received four small but attractive looking gold colored foil packages from Evergreen Tree, and I'm finally confident that I can give an accurate take on them, having alternated my use of them back and forth with my stash of Kratom varieties.

Conveniently, the bags list the percentage of Mit on the front, along with the type of blend they are. I received two small (5 gram) packs of Green Maeng Da, with a potency of 1.8 - 2%, a much more filled (20 gram) bag of Maeng Da blend at 2.2 - 2.4%, and finally a 10 gram bag of UEI powder with an intriguing listed potency of 3 - 4%.

All of them gave off an impression of being fresh and finely ground, and were even fluffy when being weighed out. I always strive to taste my Kratom as I take it off a spoon, and before washing it down, and all three share a similar fresh and sharp Kratom taste with no grassiness or sense of taking in some ground stem and vein. Though of course stem and vein can be ground down to a fine powder, and can offer benefits to a blend of Kratom, especially ones blended to provide a boost. But I digress.

The major difference between them was their potency. All three provided a strong effect on the body with a release of tension, discomfort, and pain, along with a decent boost to mood. I wouldn't say they gave a big boost to energy, but I was pleased that they weren't sedating even while providing the kind of effects on the body that sometimes go along with varieties considered as slow.

Given the potencies listed and the effects I noted I was trying to be aware of any effect on my tolerance they might have, and if there'd be a negative rebound as the servings wore off. So I'd rotate my use of these samples with my usual variety of Kratom that I had been taking. Though it's given I've only been taking these samples for a couple of weeks, off and on, I haven't noticed much of an appreciable detriment to my tolerance. I'm thinking that the profile of alkaloids in the Kratom itself being used helps balance out the tolerance build up that generally comes from the enhancement of using extract. So kudos for that, definitely. But I also think that if I only took the UEI powder I'd get used to it, and I would eventually develop some tolerance to its effects. Moderation in all things, including moderation, is best.

Since I'm only reviewing samples, and not a purchase, I won't refer to pricing other than to note that the more special/enhanced the blend the more costly it is. theevergreentree.com did/does have specials on non-enhanced Kratom that were/are competitively priced.

Babel's no schill - other threads featuring this vendor have been thought to be excessively promotional.

I can't judge, haven't tried them; would like to.
