nyone grab the goods from STH’s big drop? He had a pre order bc he was having to sell out of another state. He was saying it’s some of the better stuff he’s had for a while.

I got a ton of stuff but nothings arrived yet! I got:

Og green Kali, red / green river jungle, green glow, chocolate bent, sg smile, green monster, blue flame

I need to grab some from STH, have a batch of red bali from Mr Ky that gives me the wobbles for some reason. It sucks. Need some quality leaf badly.

I grabbed a split. 250g of green monster, 250 ok green Kali, 250 red nanga, and 250 of SG malay. I tried both the green monster and Kali, both super fresh and a good purchase. The red nanga seems not to be hitting very well. I'll be trying the SG malay tomorrow morning and see how it burns.

I bought a couple strains, Red Smile & Red Bali, as I'm almost totally out of good reds. Both of them are... blah. I really need some good pain-killing reds & sedating reds. Kratom is the only pain killer I can use as I'm on max doses of blood thinners. I just said good-bye to my last 2g of Traditional Red Dayak from TFH. Dang!

You vendors out there listening? I realize you folks don't have much, if any, control over how your suppliers process their leaves, but they really must be changing how they raise, pick, or process their reds because it seems like the kind of reds you had 4 to 10 years ago don't really exist anymore. Balz... if you have any idea why, I'd love to hear it.

Tbh i know people are super keen on DTE and drew right now but he has the best reds out there. He just restocked Ancient Red Dragon and Red Bika which are solid for pain. The ancient red is a slower nighttime strain and red bika reds to be more a day red. Def recommend.

Over harvesting due to increased demand is probably the biggest reason for the drop in quality. Jake at Nodfather (Goldfumed) still gets some good pain relieving reds. Mainly his Nod Red batches but other batches have been really good as well. Like always you just have to take a chance and purchase multiple batches until you find the ones that work, it just sucks because those batches are far and few in between these days.

DTE has a batch (Super Red Jongkong) right now that’s fantastic but it’s a fast red so you need to blend it with something slow, but once blended is wonderful, unless of course you’re looking for a fast red.

I found this post while I was searching for something from Denette (I thought for a second he was back on here).

My friend - Im listening loud and clear  There have a lot of changes in the supply chain over the years, some for the good, some for the worse. Now days a lot of the US product goes through generic wholesalers, so the "artisan" aspect of kratom has been slowly dying over the years. Its certainly not the case for all vendors, but many vendors have little control over what is sent to them....they just have to sell whatever it is they receive.

Thankfully we are operating the same as always, no changes here! If I ever lose control over our sourcing, I will bow out of the industry... I think my passion for the business would be pretty much zero at that point. Even if I did want to continue on we would probably fail, putting quality 1st is about the only "competitive advantage" we have that keeps us viable.

Im sorry you are struggling with the reds, Im surprised some of our current offerings havent scratched that itch (about half of our current reds are in my regular rotation... and I have a lot to choose from, lol). Ill check my personal collection to see if there is any of that Traditional Red Dayak in existence.

We are lucky that you have put forth the time and effort to do what you do. Really looking forward to the day i am able to try some for myself. It blows my mind other people love kratom and respect it as much as i do.

Found it very lackluster. Fresh, but not very potent. I was hoping we were gonna get some dry season heat, but not yet it seems.
