just registered and wanted to discuss my recent experience and curious as to what other's recent experiences with this vendor or these strains are.

Never ordered from RVA, but when my main vendor recently doubled their prices right before I had planned on getting 8-10 kilos, I was obviously looking for a different vendor and found RVAs prices very attractive.

I got about 8 kilos total of a bunch of strains from RVA, batches from late Nov and then after the big restock from around Dec. 10th.

Pre restock: all ~1125 - 1130 batch numbers

Green Hulu - Really potent, one of my favorite recent purchases from them. Mid spectrum effects, euphoric, mood boosting, less than normal dose required (2 grams is sweet spot), ended up buying another kilo of it. Fresh bright green.

Red Hulu - another favorite, but much slower. Very relaxing night time strain. Can't take it early in day if I'm not trying to nap. dark green - red.

Super green - honestly I can't really tell, but it seems extremely potent. Only tried it twice now but both times got wobbles and need to experiment with probably half of my regular dose. Very fresh bright green.

Red Bali - decent. about average red bali effects. dark reddish/brown.

PMD 1130 - this one is pretty nice but the effects seem to be shorter lived. Color is green but looks like somewhere between a green and a yellow. Average dose produces desirable effects and about mid spectrum effects. Took a larger dose one night and was VERY relaxing.

Wild Red - very dark red/brown, pretty lackluster. only tried it once but I was initially disappointed after reading some good reviews. will come back to it.

Royal Bent - very dark chocolate brown, taste is VERY bent-like but it's one of my favorites for night time burns. Very nice body and mind relaxation. Anxiety drifted away completely but comes on slower. About 1 - 1.5 hrs to peak effects.

Green Vietnam - average green, no complaints. seems fresh and pretty energizing but honestly nothing super remarkable.

White hulu - don't even know why I got this... I'm not a big fan of whites. made me kinda jittery like I had too much coffee, but I wouldn't say it was the strains fault just my reaction to whites. good in a blend with the royal bent. very bright green.


Red elephant and Red Jong Kong - I'm including these together because I literally cannot differentiate them from one another. Same dark red/brown color and taste, slightly below average relaxing reds. Will revisit and probably use for blending as I have about 250 g of each. Wondering if they could possibly be the same kratom but branded differently (Not saying RVA is doing this, but maybe the supplier did)... or maybe they're just similar.


Red maeng da - quite nice. Good anxiety relief but not overly relaxing. Seems like it's a good mid day - early evening red.. dark green/reddish color but seems to require slightly above average dose (3ish grams)





Post Restock:


PMD #2 12/06 - All I can say is that I wish that I had bought another kilo. Probably tied for my favorite strain I've ordered in the last month (tied with green hulu). Very very fluffy and fresh green, lower doses are very relaxing and uplifting and with my morning coffee made me feel like I was unstoppable and I got a lot done. Larger dose in the evening was simply the best night time kratom experience that I've had in months. This is a special occasion strain, I think. Not a trace of wobbles even at 5-6 grams and yet very euphoric. Felt like my first time taking kratom.

Gold Bali 12/06 - Seems okay. Only burned it once and it was mid day when I think that it's more likely going to be a night time strain. Medium green color, seems quite fresh. May have just been more sedating and I was already kind of dragging by that point in the day but will definitely be revisiting.

Green Big Bang - Really nice fresh/ green. This is one I'd recommend from the current stock (along with green hulu if it's still available.. I believe PMD2 is sold out). Seems to be higher end/more stimulating on the spectrum but I have only taken a couple 1-2 gram doses first thing in AM.



Conclusion is that I am kicking myself for not finding them earlier, as I was paying 100 a kilo for over a year for comparable quality kratom. Shipping time was pretty dismal the first order but I caught it right before Thanksgiving and not entirely his fault, but the other two orders were just slightly slower than average shipping and could definitely be attributed to just being the busy season for USPS.


Prices were all 63-65 dollars a kilo for single strains AND splits with the royal/pmds/big bang all being 65 (before shipping).


Greens seem to be their strong suit and the reds were quite hit or miss. Some of the reds were amazing, some were pretty average, and some were quite meh.

The one white I got was quite... uhm.. white. ha. Sorry white strain people.. not much help here, am I?

that pmd 2 is awesome, its vlnt i believe and the same thing as botanical bunnies pmd. was so good, nothing seemed to work for a while after i ran out of it lol

Quite a testimonial, thisisthehaunt, thanks for posting here! Yeah most of Herbal RVA is "good average kratom". Most kratom is that way, normal distribution, most vendors have good kratom - so why pay more? Many vendors don't sell whole kilos of course.. I checked over 200 vendors last year and the Average kilo price was like $104.

That Average is skewed by a few ripoffs selling for $150 or more. Herbal RVA and a few (too few!) good guys are below $80 shipped. I've been ordering from Jon since early 2017, when his PMD thing really took off - I remember when he apologized for raising the PMD price by $2 lol.. It was getting so crazy, that nobody wanted to order, unless he had PMD in stock.

PMD most batches are "Above Average" quality. Given the recent shipping problems, he's got to raise prices a bit, I know he doesn't want to but he dropped a hint last week on Facebook. Still I think most customers would have no problem paying a little more for good PMD.. Not every batch is great. He did have a few duds last Spring.

Nice, helpful review. I got their PMD and wasnt impressed and was gonna give up there. But I love a good potent super green so I may have to try that one out! Thanks

I believe its Widi. And I've seen Botanical Bunny have PMD12 (Kratom Crumbs) and PMD14 (Golden Green Kratom). Lot 13 is their VLNT supply.

do you know which batch number of pmd you got? just curious.

I’ve recently ordered From RVA twice in the past month. First order I got a split of wild red, red Bali, white MD, and green Hulu. As well as 100gs each of yellow MD and royal bent.

On my second order I went HAM on the greens, got the PMD2, green aceh, green BigBang, and gold Bali (split kilo) as well as a 100g each of super green 2 and white Bali.

Haven’t tried all from the second batch yet, but I pretty much liked everything I got the first round. WMD didn’t feel too much but will try again. I wish I was a better reviewer but my kratom experience usually breaks down to — feel it (that shit hit me, or it was pretty good), or it didn’t do too much. I have no Idea how people can break shit down by like 0-10 for a bunch of attributes.

The pmd is always a must. In the last few months I've grabbed one in every 4 split I grab. The g aech/super green are also on par. I have the pmd2 right now from my order just before Christmas and it's fantastic too. I personally havent liked any of the reds from rva and I now only pick from the greens and occasionally a white to blend into the greens. The green there also seem to be more potent than other vendors and I can cut back on my doses by a lot. If I took a typical 3g dose ide be walking in the clouds in a not good way Haha. Teaspoon or 1.5 is the sweet spot for me in the morning/mid day. Got another order on the way of pmd2 / aech/ super green and white Malay. Stoked to move onwards from the last 2 reds in my last batch that were meh. ( particularly the red md)

I've been hearing a lot about RVA recenly. I've hadn't heard about it before this. Is it RVA Herbals? Because I can't find kratom listed on their website. Am I looking at the wrong site?

So this is what I got this time:
red big bang
Gold Bali
Red s&v
Pmd2
Green aceh
Super green #2
Green s&v
White big bang

Any thoughts on these? So far I really like the super green #2 and the pmd2. The gold bali didn't work but it's too soon to make a judgement, only tried it once

Is the hype really there? I mean it's not much loss if I don't care for the strains cause I can resell them locally but I feel like everybody is really talking them up. Several krato-vets saying it's the best burn they've had in quite awhile, especially with a high tolerance.

Well, I don't have it much to compare it too, since lately RVA is the only vendor I've gone through. But there are definitely some winners on there right now, pmd2 and super green 2 are both awesome.
November's royal bent was above average.

Haven't gotten around to trying the rest yet

well only time will tell. Always on the hunt for good strains. I'll be back lol

Got some more PMD2 and some Green Aceh.

The Aceh is pretty good. Reminds me a bit of Botanical Bunny's Wild Green. Potent anxiety relief but not sedating.

The PMD2 is just phenomenal though. Not sure if there's any left, but ya better get some before I buy it all :p.

I got the Super Green but not Super Green 2. pretty sure he got his most recent order from somewhere other than the last.

however, I can vouch especially for the PMD2.

Aceh and Big Bang are quality mid spectrum greens. Not very sedating.

Royal Bent is nice, quite sedating for me. Definitely a night-time strain imo.

Has anyone tried the 120618 gold bali? I've used it a couple times and gotten nothing. The other strains I got have all been good.

That sucks dude! I personally never have had any luck with Bali Gold (from any vendor). I do however have a package out for delivery from RVA. I went with the PMD2, superG2, Gbangbang and Gaceh. Pretty sure it's from the same 12/18 batch. Keeping my fingers crossed a couple of those will be hits!

I have a half kilo from the same batch and it is pretty decent. not super strong but not weak.

though it's quite sedating and not much euphoria.

I recently purchased green Hulu batch 10518 and got nothing from it. The color is also not bright green like most good green Hulu are (like what the OP referenced on what I assume was a previous batch). I'm going to use it a few more times to make sure and hope for the best.

Damn, that sucks. I know they restocked a few times in the last month. that was the stand out strain aside from PMD for me.

weird how things can change so drastically so quickly. almost makes this whole review thing kinda obsolete.

@Oliverclothesoff what did you think of RVAs PMD2, Supergreen2, , Green Bigbang and Gaceh? I was looking to pull the trigger on a split kilo for 2 or 4 ways today.

I ordered from them about a year ago and have been on a tolerance break for a few months.

I remember their PMD and Green Hulu being good...

I'm a shake n chug guy, 7-8g. Quality stuff these days seems super hard to find.

Anyone else notice the price increase for rva? I buy by the kilo and its cheaper now to get from botanical bunny with the 4way code than it is to get from rva. I cant split the kilo like with rva but its cheaper in the end. 65 a kilo at BB plus shipping, 69-70 at rva for a kilo plus shipping. BB is even cheaper than mystic at the moment since mystic cancelled the coupon codes so im really happy because BB has the best stuff around. Best stuff and best price

Right NOW is Rainy Season & most vendors will be getting some Low-Grade leaf ... RVA, BB, Mystic, etc do any of these vendors TEST for potency or quality - NO, they will be selling whatever they get from Indo.
