Found this vendor on Discord, and when I was looking for a new vendor to try first, it was between MitraMan and Otie’s. I selected MitraMan, and that turned out great (as many of you know)... great enough I wanted to try discord again. So I have been speaking with Adam at Otie’s who ended up sending me a few samples. I’ve tried his Red Bali and Super Green Malay.

We’ve been speaking at length about his business and so far I’m quite impressed. He does lab testing and plans to add alkaloid percentage testing - which would make him quite unique. And he thinks he can do so without much of a bump in price. He already has an edge in that he packages in a clean room where many vendors I’m sure probably package in their kitchen or the bedroom or garage or wherever they live. But I’ve been impressed with the pride he takes in his business.

I asked about suppliers and he’s quite proud of his sources. He doubts his green Malay supplier is the same as Smiley’s, but I’ve now had both. Both are excellent. I would need to try Smiley’s again if I’m to compare, but Otie’s is very potent.

I’ll say this, I’m very impressed. I’m definitely going to buy a split kilo once I sample some more strains. It was just tiny samples and informally shipped, but I can see he uses nice packaging and labels and takes good care of his customers. He’s really nice, and his logo is his adorable dog (Otie, i assume), and he and his wife make a cute couple (for whatever that’s worth). He’s got a really nice website, but I have only interacted through discord so far. I’ll post more when I try more, but for now...

I’m gonna buy this green. It’s good. I had a rough morning though, so that might have contributed to the mood lift and pain being lower. I can tell it qualifies as “fire.” He sent me a White Sumatra as well which I’m gonna try out soon, and I think he’s gonna send me some more samples so I can put together a kilo. He sells unique products as well as kratom, so I might pick up something and report on that as well.

If any of you have had Otie’s and can suggest another fire strain, please speak up.

Good Review. IMO its such a Buyers Market these days, tough for new pop-ups to get started.. with ALL vendors seemingly over stocked and what happened to all the "new buyers" all the n00bs from last year? Funny how times change? Of course... there's always new folks on Facebook, where they quickly get jumped on by the so-called vetted vendors on those FB Groups.. I did catch that Oties is getting attacked by the self righteous twats at S.R. that Group of FB idiots who go around doxxing ratting and harming vendors.. Tough time to be a new vendor.

Yeah, I don’t know how new he is, but his website is only a few months old. He is at least doing it right it seems. Sounds like he has ambitious plans.

I forgot to mention that he’s aiming for GMP certification. If you check his site, he is doing the opposite of the whole “not for human consumption” head shop bullshit, and I’m all about it. It’s vendors like this that are going to help elevate kratom toward legitimacy.

Coincidentally, I was searching around for other forums last night and ran across Urban Ice Organics’s forum which was the most shilly thing I’ve ever seen. Urban Ice was the vendor who funded and produced the Leaf of Faith documentary - and the owner said all the reddit vendors are “little fuckin drug dealers.” But he sells his product almost exclusively in head shops as a “legal high” and his stuff is wildly overpriced. Not to mention he gets his stuff from the same place everyone else does, so he isn’t special. Just because he tests for contaminants. IMO, he’s a piece of shit.

Anyway, my point is that Otie’s is proving that you can test and be safe and clean and legit and not rake customers by charging outrageous markups. If I wanted to become a vendor, he’s doing exactly what I would want to do.

Also, in case I didn’t mention - he has a ton of unique products I haven’t seen elsewhere. Moringa mix and some other interesting stuff. I’m definitely keeping my eye on this guy. I will also add to this thread after I place a larger order.

I think I will have to check him out. I buy a lot of supplements and stuff. So I am always interested in vendors I can get more than just kratom with. I hope to see more reviews soon as well!

Been sampling different strains looking for a solid split kilo order... placed the order today. His site allows you to split 5 ways - which I did.

Took White Indo tonight. It’s certified fire. Potency 9, Euphoria 8, Energy (it’s a mid-spec like a green), Pain 7, Mood 9. It’s part of my split.

This vendor is super nice and SUPER patient (putting up with me). I’ll bump this with more reviews when I get my order and am able to dip into it. But I’m real happy so far.
