Botanical Bunny - Chocolate JongKong

I've had this strain for about a month and I'm just now getting around to reviewing it. As of now it's not on the BB website but it comes back periodically, so I figured that a review wouldn't be pointless.

Relaxation - 10/10
Most strains of kratom from green to white to even reds give me energy of some sort. I can always get up and go if I need to. This Chocolate JongKong on the other hand straight puts me down for the count. This is my first chocolate (or brown) variety of kratom that I've purchased so maybe it's normal for this color, but it's definitely a night time strain for me. I take it most nights, about 20 or 30 minutes before I plan on being asleep and it has yet to let me down. I used to have to take benzodiazepines, diphenhydramine, or other sleep aids because I haven't slept right since I was a teenager but ever since I found this strain, my sleep has been improving. I'm very grateful for that!

Energy - 3/10
The day that I first received this Chocolate Jongkong in the mail I took some immediately because I'm always excited about trying new strains. I took it around 12 noon. I was fast asleep by 1 o'clock. When I woke up, at first, I was thinking, "What happened?" and very quickly I learned that this new strain has a time and place. I've never tried to take it when I had to do anything besides sleep because I hate feeling tired with tasks to do. Maybe it could be taken during bouts of anxiety to chill out but I haven't had to try that at this point in time.

Euphoria - 7/10
This strain has a decent euphoric quality. Maybe it's just because it's so relaxing. It doesn't really compare to some of the whites or greens that I have in my stash though. It always lulls me into a comfortable sleep state with no anxiety in sight. It's very similar to some of the anti-anxiety pharmaceuticals that I've taken over the years. Although now I'm pretty well evened out so I don't have to take them anymore but it presents a feeling not unlike a Xanax or a comparable medication but without the deadly withdrawals. (Yay!)

Pain Relief - 8.5/10
I would say that this strain is quite similar to some reds with it's pain relief quality. It provides a nice numbing sensation to the mind and body. My back is one of the reasons that I haven't been sleeping well in my recent years and it creates a cloud of comfort around my body to promote a state of mind that is conducive for comfort and relaxation. I would definitely recommend this strain for the person that needs pain relief from their kratom.

Overall - 8/10
This is one of my favorite strains in that I can always expect a solid slumber when I take it. I mentioned sleep in every category above because that is pretty much all that I use it for. At one point in my life I was very dependent on benzodiazepines to chill me out and help me sleep but this strain has easily taken the place of those nasty little pills. It also has a very earthy, pleasing taste if you're one of the few people (including me) that like to taste their kratom. Enjoy!

Heh, you definitely sold me! That's the kind of thing I'm looking for anyway, and add to that the fact that all the BB leaf I've had has been above average, so the Chocolate JongKong may lift BB to the top of my who-to-do-business-with-next list (I'm actually chillin on some BB Gold Bali as we speak, and it's -smooth-).

Rock solid review, lots of good info, esp the comparisons with other substances so I got a good idea of what to expect and not to expect. Thanks, man!

Don't lose hope. They usually get strains back in stock fairly quickly. I checked the BB website every morning waiting for the Chocolate JongKong to show up. It took a little over a week.

Apparently, they recently switched to a new web host or
something so that might be why they're a little light on selection.
