RVA Green Crushed Leaf Review

Bought this back in April, just posting my review (lazy, aren't I). Some background, as what I am looking for from a strain may be different than what you want: I use kratom primarily for pain relief from RA and cervical spine issues, and I much prefer making tea when possible as eating powder upsets my elderly digestion. I prefer medium-to-fast strains, I have a huge caffeine tolerance and rarely get "jittery" from any kratom. I hate anything that give me sedative effects. I make "quick and dirty" tea, steeping with just-boiled water in a thermos bottle for 30 minutes, than filtering through a paper coffee filter. Typically use 4-6 grams of crushed leaf per cup of tea.

Ordering/Shipping/Packaging
It's RVA, we all know them. They do this stuff right. Easy ordering, fast shipping, decent packaging.

Tea-making Factors
The leaf is cut just a little coarser than I would like, but I'm being picky here. At least it won't clog the paper coffee filters I use in my tea making, and it certainly seems to allow the active ingredients to extract into the tea, no problem.

Kratom Effects
Not bad, not bad at all. Very decent pain relief, a bit of mood lift, no sedation. The only crushed leaf I've found that's clearly better - Wot's - isn't on the market any more.

Taste/Odor
Yuuk. Typical kratom nastiness, even worse than average. Oh well.

Summary: as good as any crushed leaf available at present, better than some. Except...I just went to RVA's web site, and they don't have Green CL available now, just red. Hopefully this is temporary.

Was that batch#112518? I bought a kg of each color and do remember that " bitter" taste.

Actually, I think so - don't have the bag handy at the moment, but I remember it being a fall 2018 batch.

WoT does not lurk any longer.... Unfortunately he was banned shortly before he supposedly gave up on his Crushed business I guess. It's a shame I enjoyed a handful of his crushed leaf offerings as well!!!

Nobody gets the ban hammer for no reason - In Fact E. is very Easy going here (Maybe that's why he's E? lol).. MM is anti censorship, but ANY www board has to stop trolling .. Wot repeatedly broke rules, here and MeWe... It went much deeper, back to Reddit - 'nuff said. And regarding his "business" IF selling your old stash qualifies .. then I guess we're all in business ? lol

Selling stash is great!! But when that's gone... it's gone. I DO think there's a market, for someone to specialize in Crushed Leaf with quality Indo sources, and maintain current stock & Re-stock a website - WoT never did that. I see vendors get 1 load of Crushed, then never re-stock it ? RVA is sadly the only vendor who does, maybe because he deals in large bulk shipments?

Sorry to see Organic Alkaloids suddenly drop ALL their Crushed.. Has anyone e-mailed them, to ask about it?

No, fortunately he was banned, possibly you don't know all the details..

I say unfortunately because he and I were friendly, and I enjoyed whatever crushed leaf I received from him multiple times. No maybe I don't know all the details, and I knew E had multiple reasons and was justified..... Just doesn't mean that I can't feel it's a shame he's gone on whatever level. Thanks for the insight as always tho Ballz, much appreciated!! I do agree that someone should specialize in some top notch quality CL, as I do like to brew a good tea now and then. I especially like to have a batch in the fridge for nights I can't quite stay asleep or even get to sleep with my normal bedtime dose..... I then just got to the fridge and take a couple swigs of the brewed tea and I'm normally out cold shortly thereafter!!
