CBD questions

Post by Bestboy143 »

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy some CBD, either oil, vape, or both. I have chronic pain and the kratom helps, but lately with work the pain is becoming too much, and I need to try something else. I know how expensive CBD is. I ordered it a while back and it was like 90 dollars for a small jar. I ended up giving it to a family member because I was trying Lyrica and wanted to isolate the results. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone here has any advice on brands, dosages, etc... Would a vaporizer be better for faster results? Is it as much of a trial and error protocol as kratom is? Thanks.

CBD flower is the only CBD product that has helped my pain.

Look into a full-spectrum product as opposed to an isolate. Full-spectrum has additional cannabinoids, terpenoids, flavonoids, and fatty acids that work synergistically to provide a much more encompassing experience.

My personal opinion is cannabis works MUCH better full spectrum. Synergy.

A friend had a hip replacement a while back, spent $90 on a 1 ounce (or less?) jar of CBD salve and it did absolutely nothing for her. Plus, the lady who makes it refused a return/refund.

I gave her a jar of my balm with full spectrum in it and she was blown away.

Thanks. I"ve been vaping a bit and all it does is make me a little tired and distant. Unfortunately I have severe adverse reactions to THC, so I guess not for me.

There are actually (nearly)full spectrum products that have had the THC removed specifically for people like yourself who don't tolerate it and also people who work jobs that they cannot come up positive for THC on a random UA. For example I know several people in the medical profession and cops that use the THC free CBD for pain and anxiety.

I personally have used both isolate based CBD and full spectrum...both do work but the full spectrum definitely is a bit more effective because of the other cannabinoids and terpenes etc.

If you're taking it for anxiety vaping it is quick and effective in my experience. However I find it doesn't last as long as oral or sublingual administration does and those routes seem to be far more effective for pain. I broke my arm and several other bones with a fall last year and between the Kratom and CBD I was able to completely control my pain without taking any narcotics.

If you haven't yet you might try an oral tincture that's MCT oil based as that increases oral and sublingual bioavailability. That's been the most effective for me to the point that I just stopped vaping it.

I can point you in the direction of a website that only sells THC free CBD products that has some reasonably priced tinctures if you're interested.

Bestboy I'm curious what the chronic pain is related to if that's not too prying of a question to ask...

If it's localized like back pain for example a full spectrum salve like what herbal hippy was saying she makes, even one containing THC, might be helpful and not really cause any intoxication as you won't absorb much systemically.

I have peripheral diabetic neuropathy from too many years of poorly controlled diabetes and there's a few supplements/vitamins I take that have been incredibly helpful outside of the CBD to keep it in check now.

I second this. The "full spectrum" you hear a lot about is all the cannabinoids naturally in the cannabis/hemp plant before they start extracting from it. When you have flower you know that's all you're getting, no added BS. You can then smoke, vape (what I prefer), or make oils/tinctures to then make into other products like edibles or lotions. You'll save a lot of money making your own products from flower vs. buying some crap from a head shop or even good products from an online vendor. A few of my favorite vendors are Apical Greens, Blacktie CBD, and Fields Of Hemp.
