Hi Everyone!

Man am I glad I found this website - it's so hard to find non-shill, honest information from regular people! I only made a few kratom or kava purchases from Kraken when I got some low quality stuff. Very nice customer service but I decided I should branch out. Tried Happy Hippo and the quality was MUCH better but also much more expensive! So I was looking around for other sources and stumbled across Double M. Well, I just ordered some stuff off Botanical Bunny and I'm really looking forward to trying better quality kratom at reasonable prices!

Here's what I've got on the way: (I tried to get a good variety)
-Red Nano (Lot 18 – batch 2009)
-Premium MD (lot 12 – batch 2006)
-Red MD JongKong (lot 12 – batch 2008)
-Plantation (lot 12 – batch 2008)
-White MD JongKong (lot 12 – batch 2008)
-Wild Green (lot 14 – batch 2008)
-Red Banjar (lot 14 – batch 2008)
-Yellow Kapuas (lot 12 – batch 2008)
-MD Kapuas Red (lot 12 – batch 2006)

I'll post up a review when I try them and hey do people review Kraken or Hippo kratom?

Any tips or advice is always welcome - thanks!

Hey everyone, not sure if you all are still utilizing this newbie thread or not. I joined this group a few days ago in hopes of obtaining more knowledge on Kratom and if questions arose I'd have somewhere to turn to. I started using Kratom back in May after watching Hamilton's Pharmacopia and going through an addiction for the second time in my life. I was fed up basically and was dealing not only with addiction but bi-polar depression that is not currently being treated with any medication. I was so incredibly depressed that at one point before Kratom I wanted to end my life, I was simply done. I've been to this place before, these feelings were nothing new. The only thing new was the fact that I was at a low point in my life where I thought killing myself was sincerely my ONLY option to get out. Kratom changed all that for me, thankfully. I am still new, I am still learning (a lot) and I am still playing around with servings, strains, and vendors. Nice to be here in this group, thanks for having me and reading about my journey.

Welcome new members! I am glad you found us!

Finch, you can review whoever you like but I don't think very many here buy from Happy Hippo, they're too expensive and there is less expensive, amazing leaf out there to be had. Same with Kraken.

TFH is having an open order event through tomorrow, you might snag something before they close!

Finch, you might get more of a response if you post your list /questions in General Discussion. I don't think as many people keep up on the intro section. HH is right, though.

Yeah I quickly learned here that HH isn't the best - I'm trying botanical bunny (BB?) for those new strains :D I'll explore the forums a bit more to see where to post up my reviews and whatnot

Hey. I tried kratom at the advice of my niece awhile ago, and stopped because I got freaked out over the thought of getting addicted to it like some people claim. I don't have pain. But I do have a lot to anxiety lately so when I was going into the cabinet the other day, a bag that I didn't know I had of kratom fell out. So I tried it again and it made me feel pretty good. So I decided to give it another shot. Does anybody know if it's okay to mix it with small amounts of alcohol? I'm talking like one glass to two glasses of wine?

I mix it once in a while with wine and feel great synergy. (Sangria is my fav) As long as kratom dose is not big, i see no problem. But alcohol and strong alcohol i would highly avoid. Wine is where its at. A glass of wine is good, but a full bottle, i dont know, it might kill the kratom effect. But strong alcohol is never a good idea. welcome to the forum...

My evening dose is often accompanied (especially on the weekends) by a beer or mixed drink and there’s definitely some synergy. Just don’t want to overdo it though - I would imagine that would be a horrible feeling.

Hey folks,

Been using kratom around 4+ years now but just found this forum the other day thanks to someone on Reddit. Realistically, I'll probably just be lurking and looking for vendors for the most part, but I'll try to post some reviews and chime in from time to time.

Glad to see that a community like this exists!

Hi All-

So happy to have found this group! I am a relatively new user. I read about it years ago, but all of the "this is addicting" posts scared me off. And then 2019 happened. I'd hit 4mg of clonazepam which was doing absolutely NOTHING for me. Whoa. After 20+ years off and on benzos, I'd finally hit tolerance. Add trauma and menopause to the mix and I was really hurting.

My friend of many years, now boyfriend, pushed me to try it again after I found MMJ did nothing to help my anxiety levels. I ended up trying extract first (no judgement please) and WOW, I was in love. My extract came in before my powder and I was too eager to wait. I keep a good full spectrum extract on hand for my particularly BAD days. It works wonders. I think Kats was the first powder I tried. I couldn't believe how the green lifted my mood, yet relaxed me at the same time. I decided that same month (Nov 2019) to start my taper off of benzos. Kratom has been incredibly helpful to me in this journey, I can't even begin to explain. Other brands I've tried include: Happy Hippo, Philly, MitraSpec, Wicked, GRH and PurKratom. Out of those, the only ones that I've really felt have been Kat's and Hippo.

I'm quite excited to start supporting some smaller suppliers! Will be placing my first order with Denette615 and MitraMan today. Can't believe I just missed the open order being offered by TFH... I look forward to learning a lot from all of you fine folks.

Welcome! I'm so glad you found us. :D Yeah, it's a shame how many hurting people miss out because of all the negative propaganda out there. This really is a great forum in so many ways. You'll find the nicest people, lots of information and feedback on some terrific vendors. I think you'll find anything you get from Denette 615 and MitraMan will be of much higher quality than what you've been getting and probably a good deal less expensive. Both are top-notch vendors.

Welcome to MM! I just found this place recently too and have already found INFINITELY better places to buy kratom! Prior to joining, I was buying at Kraken and tried but couldn't afford Happy Hippo lol Now I'm collecting kilos of high quality kratom for what I blew on those first orders! Once you're a member/have enough posts you can PM people. Send me a message if you want some newbie to newbie advice!

Hi, been lurking for a couple of weeks and happy to join up. I don't remember how exactly but I found out about this place from Reddit and it's such a breath of fresh air compared to some of the BS I see there haha.

I'm pretty new to kratom but it so far has really helped me to manage a chronic condition and I'm thankful so far. Also thankful for the insight this community has given, I feel much more educated about the leaf than when I first learned of it

Hi, new here, just registered. I've definitely visited this forum before, when researching vendors. I recognize some "well known" user names, either from previous visits or from other similar forums.

I generally order large batches, and very infrequently, so I've never been active in any of the forums, just an occasional lurker.

Ordered from SOSA Speciosa in 2019 (most recent).
Ordered from Herbal RVA in 2017 (used "IFTTT" to be notified of new Reddit posts about restocks).
Ordered from Gaia in 2016.
Ordered from Motark in 2016 (first order).

I think I may have ordered from someone else during the Fall 2016 ban scare, when vendors were running out.

I have some friends that have really benefited from Kratom (sleep, pain). Personally I mostly find it pretty subtle, but I appreciate having it in my life as something I can take which feels somewhat positive, while not (noticeably) affecting me negatively.

For the first 2-3 years I was very careful not to take it daily, as I was concerned about not being able to stop. Since then I've found I can take it for months in a row, then stop for weeks, without any issues. My dosage has ranged between .5g - 4.5g, currently around .5g AM & 1.5g PM. Just my experience, everyone's bodies are different.

I went through a period of trying various potentiators. Black seed oil, turmeric and black pepper (and/or piperine), cayenne. At some point I decided I couldn't tell the difference.

I started with T&W. Then tried oblate discs, mostly to help a friend who couldn't handle T&W. Then a drink made from lime juice, ginger juice, and sparkling water (with a little sweetener).

Current recipe of choice: 1.5 cups hot water, .75 cups milk (plant based or cow), various sweeteners to taste, and about .25 - .5 teaspoon chia seeds, blended thoroughly. Tastes best with around 1.5 teaspoons of Kratom or more, otherwise it's bland and needs something else to make it interesting, or you can cut the recipe it in half.

I'm partial to Kratom on popcorn, with turmeric, black pepper, and cayenne. Add herbs & spices to your melted oil/butter mixture first or it might make you sneeze.

Going to try my luck at ordering from TFH next, fingers crossed!

Appreciate everyone here who takes the time to share their experiences.

Hey SevenOh, welcome to Double M!!!! This forum is great for finding out all sorts of stuff. I mainly use it to look up reviews on a vendor or strain I'm thinking of ordering. There's really good info here too and I've dropped a few questions and had excellent responses.

Putting Kratom on popcorn eh?? That sounds interesting! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that. I know I have seen people use it in their cookie dough to bake cookies or mix with a small amount of honey to make honey Kratom balls but never mixed w/ butter and poured onto popcorn. That caught my eye because I'm a microwave popcorn fanatic!! I make it homemade on the stove as well but microwave popcorn is super easy and fast. Great idea!! I might try this at some point so thank you for the idea.

Welcome!!

Thanks ybanurse247! Please do try it, and let me know what you think! You may want to start with a smaller amount at first, then work your way up to find what tastes best. I usually make a lot of popcorn, and typically add about 1/2 teaspoon of kratom. I sometimes combine this with a beverage as well to get the desired amount.

Hi, new member here! I remember hearing about this supplement in the past but either didn’t think much of it or didn’t believe the hype of what it could offer. That has certainly changed after I decided to finally try it for myself! I am still in the discovery phase of finding what works best for me and mixing different strains for the best burn. So far I really love the reds for pain control and the greens are nice too for a mood boost to counter depression and anxiety. I really don’t get much from the whites but I have learned here to toss some in with red or green to counter sedating effects or get an energy boost! I have learned so much here and grateful for the members who share their experience. Still learning the lingo that I don’t understand for example if a strain has “legs” or is “heady.” Is there a dictionary anywhere of these terms for me to learn? Look forward to participating in the forum and any advice others more experienced may have including recommendations of where to purchase consistent good leaf, and what combos of leaf work well for a great burn.

Hello long time lurker here. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Big kratom fan. I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia (type 2) about a year ago and take kratom for pain. It has helped me tremendously with reducing my (constant) pain. I look forward to posting more and getting to know everybody. Thanks!

Hi, I just found this site. I started using Kratom back in 2016. I stopped about a year ago, but I got a diagnosis of Narcolepsy recently. Kratom may be a possible treatment for me so I'm coming back to it.

Hey shadowr welcome! Just curious why did you stop a year ago? I ask because I don’t see many people stop once they start. That’s great it may be able to help you

Hi. Thanks for letting me join this forum. It was really a serendipitous stroke of luck that someone sent me this way and I am so glad I checked it out.

I will work on my reviews, but, the effects of kratom are pretty subtle for me. I don't know how accurately I can pinpoint a spectrum of effects that would be helpful for a review.

thanks guys.

Hi all! I didn't see this introduction thread before I posted, I apologize!

I've taken kratom for going over 4 years now and have been so pleased to find this forum. Trusted vendors, detailed reviews, and without all of the drama that seems to come with FB. (Gave up FB a couple yrs ago.) I've probably gone a little overboard ordering from multiple vendors but it's been a great "problem" to have, spoiled for choice! ;)

Many many thanks to the moderators for maintaining such a comfortable space.

No need to apologize, and welcome!

I think we all have kratom-buying syndrome here.

Hello,

I'm a migrant from reddit, wish I found out sooner but a big thanks to the person who PM'd me on reddit to tell me about this forum.

I'm a 28(M) in a labor intensive skilled trade. Kratom is a blessing that I respect and work daily to not abuse. It helps me work long and hard hours without as much pain or fatigue I would experience without it.

I have been using kratom for a little over 2 years now daily. Kratom has helped me quit drinking (not on purpose) and also quit smoking (also not on purpose). Those were not intended outcomes of using Kratom but I am very happy with how the alcohol and tobacco just sort of slid out of my life because I like the kratom more, and I learned they would affect my kratom "buzz".

I look forward to meeting and discussing Kratom or other topics with you Fine Folks here.
I also look forward to trying out new vendors!

P.S. If anyone can point me into the direction of a Thread about how the ranking system works that would be great, I believe I read somewhere that I need to post (x) amount of time before I can PM people or something along those lines? I do not want to miss out on an opportunity to speak with someone if need be due to my low rank.

Thanks for reading, TheBoilermaker

Welcome new friend,

It may have been me that sent you here from Reddit. Your question and replies seemed more appropriate for this forum. Sea of misinformation over there. It is actually kind of fun poaching the more interesting from over there.

It just takes 10 posts to acquire more freedom here.

Anyway, good luck.

Hi all,

Joined up a few weeks ago after reading for nearly a year. Not sure what took me so long to join, but I’ve been the happy beneficiary of all the great information on this site, from reviews and vendor recos to Gumby’s amazing behind the scenes knowledge.

Looking forward to sharing more. Thanks for this community!

Hello everyone,

Pretty cool spot you got here! Have been around for a while but am now starting to contribute. At this point I'm knowledgeable enough to help folks. Also just nice to have a spot where discussion is more open (unlike reddit). I have tried a few different vendors but the bulk of my stash comes from Heavenleaf. I always say I'm gonna branch out but what can I say, Heavenleaf has nailed it every time I've ordered so I just keep going back. My name's Rob for any savvy connect-the-dots folks that may see me around the internet and bonus points to anyone that recognizes my username. Apart from kratom I love music, chess, skateboarding, cooking and my cat 8-) . Other stuff too but I'll stop rambling now and see you around the forum!

Hello everyone. I found Kratom about 6 months ago and use it for chronic back pain. I have two torn spinal discs. I use to be on meds but got off them due to issues. Kratom has saved my life literally. :D Well I found this forum a few months ago but never signed up but now that I’m on a quest to find the best vendor for me as I’ve been unlucky paying locally 40$ for 4 oz lol thanks for this forum guys!!

You have to have 10 posts before you can use the PM feature. Keep posting!
