My cat pics (RIP 2021)

Maximus is a large marmalade tuxedo cat with a penchant for chin-biting. He loved to jump on me in the middle of the night, then curl up near my feet. This often led to me kicking him in my sleep and a subsequent toothy and slashing counterattack which would wake me up and I'd kick him off the bed. When this didn't happen, he'd spend the night and wake me by licking my a)general face, or b)my eyelids. He was very friendly and on rare occasions good-naturedly chased his own tail; but he knew he was being silly. He was adopted by my mom, but also deemed to make me a favorite person too.

Levi was my sister's cat, and they lived next door to us, me in the house we grew up in, and she in the house my parents bought from a relative (? nobody knows exactly who was who cause that side of the family used other people's documents to come to Hawaii from Canton) when he went back to China. (Uncle Butch, as everyone called him, went home and threw a party for the villiage, like 1,000 people, and happily lived his life cruising in plain white tees with holes in them, Salem cigarettes, and a shot of Crown Royal every night with dinner.)

When my sis moved out of Uncle Butch's house, I moved in there with Mei (my service canine) and my mom adopted Levi. After a number of years and moving to various locations on the island, Levi stopped peeing on furniture and became attached to me (still def second fiddle to mom, but he spent a lot of time with me when mom went to visit my sis, her hubs, and my nephew in Colorado).
