Just wonder if you guys use other stuff with kratom, like topical. Do you have any favorite creams or lotions that been helping you greatly? I got two favorite once that always worked.

1. 1-2-3 OIL - https://doctorbombayproducts.com/products/3-2-1-oil

Few drops on your any joints and less then 3 seconds pain is gone. Tested over 3 years. Its like kratom but in a different way, extremely effective.

2. Comfrey Salve https://shop.kauaifarmacy.com/products/comfrey-salve

Its grown in Hawaii on 4 acre land and all their product is their own creation. Comfrey is great for skin in general and also known to reduce pain in muscles and joints. they also sell Healing Beauty Balm it sells out really fast, since they make few batches at a time. I got Healing Beauty Balm for my mom and she said it made stuff disappear from her face, neck and shoulders.

Any way do you guys have any favorite balms, lotions or salves go too for topical use?

Everyone including myself in the Muay Thai kickboxing program at our MMA school uses Nam Muay Thai Liniment which is kinda similar to Icey Hot or Biofreeze but works waaaaaaay better! Interesting that you mention a Comfrey Salve though.... My fiancee and I grow comfrey in our garden here in NJ and have tried making ointments ourselves but haven't quite gotten the knack for it yet. I also, always have a tiny of Burt's Bees Res-Q Ointment with me for various uses i. e. cuts, burns, bruises, dry skin, and so on. The Res-Q ointment smells amazing and heals stuff pretty much over night it's incredible.

*Fair warning the NamMuay Thai Liniment is not FDA regulated what so ever and it also has a quite pungent mentholy type scent similar to Icey Hot and or Bengay type creams.

I make a balm that's kind of like a cross of Biofreeze and Tiger Balm. It has everything Tiger Balm has in it, plus comfrey, calendula, arnica, helichrysum, St John's wort and cottonwood buds infused in EVOO. Also quite a few essential oils and a lot of menthol. And cannabis, full spectrum, not just CBD.

About 2008 a joint in the middle finger of my right hand started aching like mad. I figured arthritis, here we go. I got some Tiger Balm and that helped for quite a while and then it didn't. So I went to the health food store and got a *very small, very EXPENSIVE* tube of arnica gel and that worked great. I was thinking one day that if Tiger Balm had arnica in it, it would be just about perfect.

So I made it.

When I started making this, I had pain in that one finger joint. I had the recipe almost perfected straight off the bat but it took me another couple years to get the consistency just right. What's weird is, once I got the recipe where it worked, that finger joint stopped hurting and has never hurt again since. But now I have arthritis in both hips, both knees, facet joint arthritis all through my lumbar spine. I could never afford all the pain rub I use if I had to buy it.

Comfrey is great for pain and swelling. Amazing, actually. It works good by itself but even better with calendula, they work synergystically. I always use the two together when making something.

St John's wort used topically is very good for pain and also works as a muscle relaxer.

CBD/THC is AMAZING for muscle issues.

My pain rub never used to have cannabis in it. I went through a period of time when I was clenching up the muscles in my lower back anticipating pain from facet joint arthritis. I couldn't seem to stop myself doing it and was causing myself horrible muscle spasms that nothing would touch the pain. Not kratom, not hydrocodone, not muscle relaxers. Finally after a few weeks of this I had enough. Went to the weed store down the street, got a jar of cannabis infused in coconut oil, came home and did some math and made a batch of my balm with the stuff in it. Rubbed some on my back and the pain and spasms were gone INSTANTLY.

I had a co-worker with a wrist problem from being on the computer all the time. Her husband had gotten her a jar of something from the dispensary and she told me it worked instantly. I'm like, yeah, right. Didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. Cannabis as topical medicine is the shit.

One thing about comfrey is, you want to be careful that a wound is VERY clean before you use comfrey on it. It will heal you up fast right over a dirty wound and cause an infection. I use it for skin splits on my fingers in the winter but that's about it. Any other broken skin issues, I wait until they're well on the path to being closed before I put anything with comfrey on them.

Not as (relatively) fancy as those listed above, but epsom salt is underappreciated by many. Two cups of that and maybe a cup of borax to help up boron and the sleep (when I haven't been good about supplementing magnesium) is some of the best I've ever had. Coming from an insomniac that's a massive two thumbs up.

And while it does not do anything to address pain, I wanted to add an oddity that I've read about and experienced first hand for treating the dark coloring from bruising: toothpaste.

Extra minty toothpaste, when applied and left on overnight (you can cover with Saran wrap if it's a really bit bruise) really does speed up the color transition very fast. It's been years since I had a big bruise that I cared enough to do this with, but it seemed to go to green within a day or two, and then to yellow maybe in the 5-6 day range. Considering it was a very, very dark purple that should have lasted maybe a week in the purple stage, I was impressed.

Must be the menthol in it. That's very interesting!

The best thing I know for bruising is Helichrysum italicum, also called strawflower.

Epsom salts are wonderful for a bath for aches and pains. I wish I had a bathtub in this apartment.
