Nootropics
Anybody have any experience with Nootropics? I mainly use supplements for fitness. I take 3 grams of Fast leaf 1 1/2 hours before workingout, then 20 minutes before I take 150 mg Caffeine and 100 mg L-Theanine. In the past I head that racetams provide a lot of focus and sometimes even act as a stimulant. I used phenylpiracetam instead of caffeine and theanine a few months ago for a few weeks and while I didn't get the same amount of energy as caffeine it did provide good motivation and allowed me to get into flow state very easily.
I wanted input on other things to try. Anybody have any experience on other racetams or ginsing? I used nootropics depot Panamax ginseng once with a sample that was sent with an order and I was quite blown away with the quick burst of calm focus it provided. Does anyone else have a workout stack?

I bought a tincture of Rhodiola Rosea from Mountain Rose Herbs, it produced a very pronounced stimulation, followed by focus. The only downside on it is the tolerance, don't do it everyday.
I've bought Ginseng once but waking up with a boner when your 44 gets pesky

Re: Nootropics
Great topic! Any recommendations for energy/stimulation/focus without the added caffeine? I don’t use caffeine. But would like to learn about some natural or herbal products for mental focus and energy.
When taking ginseng, how much did you take and how long did the energy last?

trubrain has drinks, caffeinated and non.
They really work and you can feel the extra cognition, but it's temporary, they suggest 2 drinks a day and price adds up. I tried the sample for ten bucks, ten drinks.

Its an acquired taste like Kratom.. actually nowhere near as bad. You chew 1-2 of these chips and get a surge of energy, lasting hours. Never jitters like caffeine - Ginseng IS a well known "adaptogen", meaning it makes whatever your're taking.. stronger.
Of course, you can get Ginseng in caps and liquid extract. Most capped supplements are made with American root which isn't as strong as the Panax stuff. I def got a nice strong burn today, from my regular kratom serving, after chewing this Ginseng Root!!

Re: Nootropics
Sweet, I will try some.
I wanna state again about trubrain, I tried the drinks (caffeinated, 100mg) and really liked it, it's just a small pouch, several tablespoons' worth and it feels like a cloud is lifted for a few hours.
I am thinking of investing in the company, they are currently selling shares (? dunno about all the details and if shares is the right term).
There is a $10 trial offer. Stuff is rather expensive if you use it 2x/day as recommended.

Its not really a nootropic, and you don't see instant results or a burst of energy, but recently I started using lion's mane. I buy bulk dried mushrooms and break them up and make a tea out of them. Id say that my stamina in workouts has gone up by maybe 30-50%. Whereas I would burn out at 20 minutes of cardio, now I can go to 30 minutes. I'm also making substantial strength gains. Im not sure why thats happening considering that lion's mane is supposed to be more for neurological connections.
I also ordered and will soon be trying DHEA to see if it boosts testosterone, as well as phosphatidyl choline and serine. They supposedly help with focus, brain fog, focus, etc. Im really curious to see how those work.
As far as nootropics, I did try tianeptine and phenibut at one point. It was ok I guess. Had an immediate but short-lived effect. Honestly I think l-theanine is one of the best, Ive even tried some GABA supplements that were legit.

Ginseng and Turmeric have been great for me. Magnesium too!
