Adrenal Fatigue

Lets face it, everyone has problems and if you're here you're probably no exception. I've posted about back pain and I want to bring up another issue: adrenal fatigue. Some people think that this isn't a real problem. But I can say after years of work that my nerves are fried. Sometimes my heart rate is out of control and I get really shaky. Lately its been bad, especially when I've been trying to come off of a few anxiety/sleep meds.
Anybody been down this path and have any recommendations where to start? The number 1 thing I'm trying to do is change my diet. My diet sucks, lots of soda and processed foods. Thats the first thing to change and I've started to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Whats tough is getting away from everyday stress.

I quit soda 8 years ago, i read a big article how it makes your joints hurt, teeth problem and many other issues. If you drink, you will end up charged by doctors and dentists. Soda is cheap but paying for meds is expensive. Nice to hear you switching to more better foods, its not going to be easy but eat less, fast more, drink better drinks, like lemon water, or tea made out of ginger or peppermint and always add raw honey, if have to , pre make it for work or when traveling. Its your body your taking care of, no one will do it for you. I stopped buying store juices 8 years ago as well. I mean i do buy once in a while but only if its better ingredients or like 100% natural juice. Any weird names or i dont know some additives, then i am not getting it. basicly get a habit to make your own drinks and put it in a frig or make fresh tea and drink that, coffee can give you fatigue and heart problems, i would say drink little or avoid it if you have heart issues.
Buy foods that are good and plan on eating less. Fasting is always good. in a way eat only if you have too and your body demands it. Small meals. Eat often if have too a little. If you over eat, not only it makes you feel bad and lazy and some what sick but you feel bad about it especially if it was a party and foods was all bad cheap ingredients.. I dont even care about partys, b-days or special holidays when family members get together that much. Or else you have too cherry pick all the good food you know. like mash potato, gravy chicken meat, salads, some fruits. avoid all store sweets, if its home made and you know who made it and you trust them, go for it. Anything else expect to have hell for hours after you have heaven tasting it for 5 minutes. And always remember some food dont taste good but make you feel very good for hours long. Like kratom dont taste good but it makes you feel great 4+ hours? right? now another example, seaweed dont taste good but it makes you feel super good for 1-3 hours. Castco hace a 12 pack for like 10 bucks. Also back in days when soldiers were affected by radiation or had cancer they were given seaweed to eat and they became well. seaweed is know they remove bad cells. (cancer?) ,, well my point just slowly start making a list and transition to better food, you have a small start from this post, look into seaweed. i think everyone who want to feel well being should eat seaweed. never mix it with kratom, to much feel good becomes wobbles, and it tried over 10 times and each time with kratom i got wobbles, so i eat it when i am on kratom break to boost feel good and help with some of the wds, Guayusa leaf is another one that is very good to drink, make tea out of it. any way good luck to your well being and transition, its not going to be easy, so keep a journal by your side.

If your heart rate is out of whack, look to potassium supplementation. As far as adrenal fatigue, I want to say iodine supplementation as well. Lately I've been using lithium orotate instead of kratom. We need elemental lithium but we don't get it unless you're lucky enough to live in a place that has a lot in their water. I know with lithium you need to supplement with iodine anyway, so there's that.
I would also use search terms like cortisol, stress, or vitamin/mineral deficiencies related to aging. There's a lot of stuff we don't get (and honestly with factory farming and meat production *can't* get) that we need and so you have to do a lot of extra work to get it.
Boron is another example of that. And a big box of 50 mule team is mined from the same place as boron supplements so just save your money and get borax since it doesn't have additives (though it's been maybe three or four years since I've checked.)

Sorry to hear this. Hate to say it, but depending on the anti-anxiety/sleep meds you’re referring to, it could definitely be a sign of withdrawal from those drugs; especially if they are benzodiazepines. I took Xanax and drank heavily for about 15 years. Towards the last 5 years of my addiction, I would shake uncontrollably even after having a few drinks. When I finally got clean, I wondered if I would ever be able to feel “normal” - it took about a year to be able to sleep well (with the help of medication.) If it’s not your meds, I would also suggest to keep an eye on your diet like you mentioned, watch uoir caffeine intake, and implement some form of exercise too. Good luck man!

Regarding anxiety and sleep pills nothing will help till you're 5-7 days off of them and they could be the beginning and end of most of your problems

Thanks everybody for your replies. A few followup questions for you all:
"Regarding anxiety and sleep pills nothing will help till you're 5-7 days off of them and they could be the beginning and end of most of your problems"
-Im on 1mg klonopin at night, plus I take melatonin. I was reading about some guy who was on sleeping pills and he locked himself in a hotel for a week to get off of
them. I kinda think I'd have to do the same thing, just forget about sleep or doing anything for a few days and kick it out of my system. Do you think that getting off the
meds will really be that big of a solution? To be honest, there have been nights where I was so exhausted that I fell asleep without taking anything and I felt 10x better
the next day...
"Potassium...iodine....lithium orotate...boron"
-I actually picked up some borax. I had heard some good things about it for not only nutritional issues, but if you want to go down a rabbit hole, it supposedly helps
counteract flouride or even the stuff in the chemtrails. I hadn't heard of lithium orotate though, what are you using that for? Potassium is huge, I know thats a problem.
This has just been a big problem lately as it seems like I can't calm down once I get stressed out...and I'm doing everything to not go on any more pharmaceuticals. The heartrate is the toughest thing, I've been taking metoprolol and thats been harder for me to taper than any benzo.

Hi Sneakers!
I have also decided that this is the year I'm going to change my diet to eat healthier. I have always been very active and exercise 2 or 3 times a week while also working 12 hour shifts, but I have the hardest time eating the way I know I should.
I've been doing 16/8 intermittent fasting and that keeps my weight under control, but my diet during the eating window sucks. I have high cholesterol and take blood pressure medicine, so I need to get all that under control too.
I decided to just tackle one change at a time. The last few weeks I've cut out all artificial sweeteners and juice drinks, and all I drink now is unsweetened tea, water, and coffee with cream. Now I'm going to take 2 weeks and wean myself off the coffee creamer.
My point is, it all seems so overwhelming to just say we want to eat healthier, but if you break it down into one change at a time it's easier to commit to. By the end of the year we will have totally transformed the way we eat!

In terms of iodine, I still have a big bottle of j. Crow's lugol's iodine from 10+ years ago (hope it's still good!) That I use to paint my skin. I've also done drops in water but if you add too much too fast it displaces....bromine? And you start to stink. It's been a long time since I did that but I want to say I got gassy too. But a drop in water is fine. I think I was pushing it at 12 drops a day if I recall correctly (which I probably am not.)
As far as I remember: there's four halides:
Bromide, iodide, chloride, and flouride. This translates to bromine (in Bread and added to other products,) iodine (in seaweed and fish but not in a lot of other American goods (we do have iodized salt but it doesn't give us the amounts we need,) chlorine (in lots of water supplies) and flourine (water supplies and dental health products.)
My understanding is that they compete for position so it's easy to get an imbalance. And it would explain why pushing iodine might have physical symptoms of pushing bromine out. Not sure about the other two.
But the pituitary gland has a huge effect on hormones so I can see adrenal fatigue being related to low iodine because the gland needs that to function.
But it's been a long time since I've read up on that so take it with a grain of (iodized) salt.
Curezone.com is full of woo but there is a lot of good info and people experimenting there. There is an iodine supplementation forum there and maybe that can help.
Lithium orotate is pretty much for anxiety or depression. I'm curious because it seems like we need it but, like boron, we don't get it in our souls and therefore our food very much anymore.
In terms of chemtrails-- I feel like that's woo territory. I remember being fascinated by reading about those and comparing pictures but then reading more it seems like they're nothing but a change in fuel or some function of the energy. But then again, reading about the Manhattan project gassing neighborhoods on the streets experimenting and people getting sick from that...it's definitely happening somewhere. The US government has quite a few shocking cases and, being immune from prosecution, no doubt is still doing it.

So maybe chemtrails are woo and maybe not.

Yeah, I thought the same and then I remembered all the chemical testing the US government has done so I didn't really feel like I could scoff at it too much. I lean towards no, that's not a thing, but I posted what I did because the US government has done a lot of shitty testing on the public without their knowledge.

yeah I'm on metoprolol, beta blockers and 3 diff heart meds now.. realize, we're getting into Medical Advice here.. which you prob shouldn't be getting from anonymous folks on the Internet lol

I always recommend, for medical questions about kratom,
Reddit Search.. that's the Knowledge Base. 5+ years and 80K people.. Diet and exercise, is the key to everything.
Sounds like you are getting a handle on it.

For me, Metoprolol was too much fatigue & I think that's a common side effect. Check with your Doc, to lower that and then use Lisinopril, another BP med which gives your kidneys some protection.. Find out what is causing hypertension, do whatever is necessary to lower your STRESS.. I have good balanced energy now, thanks to kratom AND taking a good probiotic supplement!

Honestly you're right, its probably just stress. I have had extremely stressful life circumstances and the pace of life where I live is crazy. I used to live overseas and the pace of life was so much slower. I've honestly thought about moving back overseas as the American lifestyle just isn't for me. Next stop, expat forums I suppose
