I have no suggestions but A+ choice on that OKeefe's! All their stuff is excellent.

Yeah, been using their foot cream for several years with great results, just gotta remember to use it every night instead of haphazardly.

Are you birthday present shopping? 🥳 🎂 🎁

The nightlight for the toilet seat is interesting.

How about an Echo Dot?

Echo Dot (3rd Gen) - Smart speaker with Alexa - Charcoal https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07FZ8S74R/ ... 0CP2RY8EE5

These things are so much fun. From the comfort of your LaZBoy, you can ask Alexa what time it is or you can get today’s temp or this week’s forecast. She’ll tell you jokes or stories or you can play games (Jeopardy is fun). We use it mostly to turn the lights on and off. We have Alexa programmed to turn on and off all of our lights at once. To turn them on we say “Alexa, let there be light” and 💥 all lights turn on at once. We turn them off by saying, “Alexa goodnight”. It’s just a fun techie little doodad and it’s inexpensive at $39. The only downside is you have to buy the compatible plugs for the lights but you can find them on Amazon pretty cheap.

I read an article where the writer and his wife had an Alexa and one evening their friend called them and said, 'hey, were you just talking about _____?' and they were like, 'yeah, how'd you know that?' Alexa apparently got activated by something similar to what it thought was them saying to record their conversation, transcribe it into an email, and sent to their friend and others. So, no Alexa for me, even if she can turn on and off the lights.

I feel that way about all the smart home stuff too, personally. I'm sure it can be helpful to certain people but man are they a nightmare privacy-wise! :?

What did you end up getting, btw??

I put the coffee in my save for later list and just got the toilet night light. The rest of the balance I'll use later on the coffee, my supplements subscriptions, and kitty treats, I guess. There were so many lists of things which were supposedly must haves, but they weren't all that great.

holy shit I would never ever consider having one of these devices anywhere near the sound of my voice. "Yeah , I was just talking shit about you and your wife and I guess Alexa decided to mail it off to you in an email , no worries though , the NSA reviewed it first" damn

I saw a show recently that talked about the environment and reduce, reuse, recycle. RRR is in order of most important, step one reduce. Do you need it? Is it cheap plastic requiring rebuying? Or like my mom, do you have unopened Amazon boxes that you don't remember what you ordered? I'm an unorganized, solo environmentalist and this was the first thought that I had when reading headline. I also considered the earth as a whole as a goddess.
