kinda gives me the heebies, but girl has a bearded dragon (looks like a horny toad) who comes when called, she says don't eat the blueberry, he doesn't eat it until she comes back and lets him. Climbing all over stuff with a skittering shuffling walk.

Reptiles give me the hee bee jee bees too. Well, smaller frogs and lizards aren't that bad. But snakes... nope.

And especially alligators and crocodiles. There's just some deep primal fear about an apex predator who hasn't felt the need to evolve in millions of years because it's so good at what it does.

When I was in Nepal, some friends and I took a canoe ride through an absolutely crocodile infested river in the jungle. The guide said they won't bother us, but just being in a canoe surrounded by them was unnerving. I kept imagining the canoe tipping over. Oh yeah, and there were also tigers in this particular jungle but the guide said if you see one don't worry about trying to run because it's already too late.

Closest i ever got to a tiger was through a chainlink fence and he was a white tiger, kinda old and just chompin on a huge chicken they put into his area. I think it was frozen.

Then once years before, same zoo on the big island, my cousin went close up near the (different) tiger and the tiger decided to piss through the fence on a tuft of grass and my cousin.

The gators and crocs have the typically set up animal mouth where if you could get a grip on the top and bottom jaws, he wouldn't be able to open his mouth. So if the other crocs leave you alone, you're good if you can swim out.

That apex predator is a shark or something that goes even deeper underwater.

I can't believe you go rafting in croc territory but would faint at a teeny, sleek, cute ball python.

I didn’t know there would be so many crocs until I got there and then it was too late to back out.

I guess smaller snakes are okay but they still creep me out. One time when I was living in Colorado, a rattlesnake slithered into my neighbors driveway. His kids and dog were playing out there so he had to act fast. He ran inside, grabbed a shotgun, and blew it away lol.
