ISO Tonsillectomy Survivors

Hey family,

My fiance is having her tonsils out next week. She has been terrified by very honest doctors and her own unending cycles of anxiety (yay). Has anyone had this done? She is a goody two shoes and follows doctors orders to the very letter... so she isn't much fun at a party. Anyway - I would love some advice on the healing process, helping someone with their unchecked, medical grade anxiety and simply how to pass the time. Two weeks or so of bed rest.
