Share your blending techniques!

Post by Wingardiumspeciosa »

Good evening everyone! I hope you all are well.

I’ve been burning leaf for close to 4 years now and believe it or not I’ve only ever blended as many times as I can count on one hand. I know a handful of people who swear by it, and in fact it’s their preferred method of enjoying their leaf! This may have been discussed before, but I’d love to get a discussion going and see what everyone’s different technique and approach to blending strains is in order to maximize the variety of their stash.

Some questions to consider and also ones that I have been most curious about:

-Do you blend, if so how often?
- What have you found to be the most effective blends in terms of effects from strain A and effects from strain B?
- What ratios do you typically use and how do you notice that it makes a difference?

Feel free to free ball any answers or discussion but these are just some things I’ve wondered!

My most curious question though:

Have you ever taken something that “didn’t hit” for you that normally one would consider bunk or ineffective, and successfully blended it into a fantastic combination?

All this comes to me as I look at my stash and see all the leaf I’ve purchased from reputable vendors that just didn’t hit for me extremely well. So Rather than let it gather dust and go to waste, I’d love to see if I could effectively use these strains in my rotation using some sort of blending technique in order to spread the burn if you catch my drift.

Thanks and I look forward to discussing with you all!

I see now I don’t pay attention and a similar thread was posted. But I can’t delete this so I’ll leave it up and still open to ideas and tips 😂

The first year, when I was still a newbie, I would just use a single strain but then I started to blend a lot of the time. If it's a new addition, I always try it by itself a few times to get the feel of it. I like to blend greens and whites a lot. I usually will use 2 grams of white and 1 gram of green or the other way around. I also will go crazy sometimes if I have a few bags with a little in each one and mix them all together 8-) Reds aren't really my thing but I know a lot of people will blend Reds and Whites together during the day. I need to keep track of my "recipes". I have a lot of stash too and I'm thinking of sometime making a homemade extract when I get the time. But I do think you for sure could blend some strains that didn't hit for you, mix them up and come up with something great!
