Need some advice guys or opinions/experiences...

So I have a tooth that I have to go to an oral surgeon to have removed. They told me that they would need to do IV sedation. I told them about my kratom usage and they initially told me that I would need to stop using it 24-48hrs prior to surgery. Then they contacted me and told me that I needed to stop it for a week before surgery. Realistically that's not gonna happen. Anyone have any experiences with IV sedation, or anesthsia and taking kratom prior. I was planning on maybe stopping kratom use the night before. Say take my last dose at 5pm the day before surgery and have surgery at 9am or 10am the next day. Has anyone done this? I really need to figure this out it is causing major issues.

I did have unplanned surgery and had my gallbladder removed about a year ago. That was general anesthesia. Since it was unplanned, I had been dosing as usual up until then. Gallbladder started acting up that night, went to the ER that morning, was in the OR by lunch time. I never mentioned anything about Kratom, and I’m pretty sure I had dosed that morning. Maybe not a normal sized one though, I was pretty nauseous by this time.

In all honesty, the thought of adverse effects never once crossed my mind.

Ive had 3 back surgeries and told them everytime i was using kratom. They asked me what it was and said oh.....no problem. Each surgery was at a different hospital also. This was my experience. But definitely let them know if they are putting you under.

I had oral/sinus surgery in the 1st year of use and they put me out, I did not quit prior. I was not taking it at night, only morning and afternoon. and probably skipped that morning and for a couple weeks after, hard to remember but I remember starting to miss it afterwards. I didn't want to take it with antibiotics and felt horrible trying to recover.

I potentially have another sinus surgery coming up and have not told the doctor I use it and probably will just try to taper down in advance but not quit completely.
