Does trying a new vendor make the kratom seem more potent?
I know how subjective kratom and it’s effects can be but I have noticed a bit of a trend with me personally and I was wondering how many of you are the same?
It seems to be a common practice within this community to frequently switch which strains and vendors you are using as it seems to help keep things “fresh” and effective. I’ve noticed that when I find a vendor that “hits” for me the first few days of using the products are at times more blissful for me..l kind of a “Honeymoon phase” with whatever I’m liking at the time. I have products from 4-5 different sources right now but lately the ones that have been hitting best for me have been the strains from Liza’s. Before Liza’s I was on an Otie’s kick.
I still think that the “hit or miss” rating still applies (when I find a vendor that “hits” for me the products continue to do so) but when something new hits for me, it REALLY hits for awhile! Since I’ve been getting kratom from Liza’s and Otie’s, I haven’t enjoyed the products from other vendors as much. There are a few vendors that gave me what I thought was junk but I’m not on here to bash. It all seems pretty subjective.
What do you guys think? Is there that much variation between vendors and “strains” or is this more of a psychosomatic (placebo) thing? I’m curious to hear.

I think the conventional wisdom is to vary strains/batches because of this "honeymoon" effect but there are certainly some who don't subscribe to that theory.
After all the reading and personal experimentation I've done I've come to the conclusion that your body AT THE TIME is far more important than any particular vendor or batch. IOW, if you are set up perfectly for the dose (your bowels are open, your stomach is empty, you're not sick and you're well rested and it's been at least five to six hours or more since your last one) almost anything decent will hit. But if any of those are not true, or true in lesser capacities, then the dose will be mitigated, sometimes to a large extent.
Also there seems to be some "cross-pollination" that can occur when you mix doses - some folks call it staging, but when you take 2/3 of your dose with one strain and then follow it 30 minutes later with almost anything else it seems to have a booster effect that's hard to account for otherwise.
I guess all I'm saying is there are FAR too many variables to even say anymore. I'm going to continue to vary my rotation (I now have close to 100 different batches in it) even if it might not make any difference because it *seems* to, but as far as frequently changing vendors - no, I've gotten the two or three vendors I need and will most likely never buy anything from anyone else (I hate to never say never, but with getting TFH membership I really don't see a need anymore).

I realized that another thread that I just created kind of ties in with this one and is a bit of an extension…

I’m looking for more opinions for both of these so I thought I’d do a makeshift merge!
