AKA email - Georgia Hearing - Monday March 25, 2019

Kratom Warriors,

We wanted to make you aware that the Georgia Senate Health and Human Services Committee will be meeting on Monday [03/25/19] to discuss HB551 - The Kratom Consumer Protection Act.

This will be another chance for kratom supporters in Georgia to tell their personal stories on why kratom should remain legal.

If you live in Georgia, we hope you do everything you can to arrange your schedule to attend.

If you are planning on attending the Public Hearing, please CLICK HERE and fill out the short registration form so we know how many to expect.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SIGN UP IN ADVANCE – YOU CAN SIGN IN AT THE DOOR TO SPEAK.

We need to make sure we fill the room with kratom supporters.

For those who will be attending, this is a formal meeting of the Legislature so all are encouraged to dress appropriately, and please keep your statements on a professional and respectful basis with the Committee and its staff.

Good Info - Hopefully another State Bill just like the 1 passed in Utah. Crazy you'd need a Bill to specifically protect citizens' rights to drink Tea? Maybe the Utah law is a model that other states will follow .. Hands Off our kratom!! Thanks for posting DB!

Hopefully the morons in Ohio's state legislature are paying attention! Our Pharmacy Board has recommended that Kratom be banned! These buffoons have cried, whined and fumed about Ohio being a hotbed for the "opioid epidemic." Obviously, with kratom, they have safe and viable treatment available to combat the situation, but, in their infinite wiZduMb, they prefer lining the pockets of Big Pharma in order to meet that end while making criminals out of thousands of innocent Ohioans! I'm not getting my hopes up because Ohio's been backsliding towards the 1950's for a few years now! I'm about ready to relocate to a state that exercises a little common sense because Ohio's only getting worse.

The outcome of the hearing sounds very positive. The State Senate voted unanimously (55-0) to approve the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. Hopefully more states will follow suit.
