i agree with WotAnAtti2d about sustained heat. you could do the lemon juice method and bubble it in the freezer if you like using a bagless steeping method, like using a tea ball to put the kratom in or just running the water through the kratom and then letting the tea ball sit in the water. but if you just boil the kratom in water for a while, 15-25 min it should in theory break the cells apart enough for the alkaloids to be released. you can only break open the cells once, once they are opened and the alkaloids released, that is as much as your going to get out of it. yes, using the lemon juice and freezing it does break apart the cells but so does sustained heat.
so if i were to be dosing at work and wasnt able to boil it for a while i would go with the lemon freeze method. i could just bring some to work and then use the hot water to steep my kratom ball in and viola , i have fresh tea. but for that matter i could just boil it at home and bring it in a thermos. either way works

Re: Toss n wash vs tea
So I just made a tea... attempt 2...
Method:
- Boiled water in small pot
- squeezed 1/3 lemon into pot
- added one spoon of crushed leaf and one spoon of KOG Dark Chocolate powder.
- boiled for 15 minutes - stirring occasionally
- strained through tea mesh and then strained again through Aeropress
- added a few splashes of flavored coffee creamer
Result:
- Curdled creamer
- Vile appearance and smell
- Tastes like hot sick (vomit)
- Would rather chew on dry leaves for 15 minutes.
- Kill me.
- I managed half a cup before giving up to write this.
- I'll let you know if I feel anything besides nausea.
