Indonesia Export Ban news fud or real?

I found this out via twitter from the Kratom Association seems Indonesia just finalized a ban that all farmers have five years to stop growing kratom.
I've not found any reputable source, only keyboard journalism which could just be fud. Searching Indonesia Kratom Ban brings up a few hits that will lead to more info as I don't want to layer this post in links. Is it the apocalypse?

This is absolutely real, but its no reason for panic. The Minister that announced this does not have support from any other Ministers and alot can change in 5 years. Nobody over there is taking any steps towards other industries, its actually the opposite. Kratom production will continue to increase, there is just too much easy money in it for them not to.

Lets see what happens in a few years....but dont go crazy buying a stash now.

The Export Ban is totally FAKE .. There is no "Ban". There is no "Regulation" currently in Law. Only a directive by ONE of many branches of Government.

I agree with Gumby, 1 office, or group there has written a Proposal. Other factions, groups, branches... are against the Proposal. To really understand the whole MESS, you'd need to study Indonesian Government .. They DO have politics. They DO have elections, and elected officials. They also have appointed officials.

AKA's Email last week, QUOTE: "The Minister of Health in Indonesia has issued a regulation that bans kratom in Indonesia".

That's at least mis-leading... Some would say, a flat-out LIE... A carefully worded Email written by attorneys I guess. The effect is NOT any ban on kratom signed into Law. There is a proposal or directive from 1 branch of government, to stop growing and exporting AFTER 5 years... Unless other arrangements are made within 5 years. Elections, are coming up, and other branches of government, are opposed to this!!

MANY, many, Indonesians have said not to worry, it's basically a political squabble. It's LIKE.... Trump saying he's gonna "Build A Wall". Is the stupid Wall going to happen? Uhhh... probably not.

That Email by AKA was a shameless attempt to spread FUD, and collect donations.... Are things changing, both here and Indonesia? Sure, things are always changing. The AKA always needs money. I feel bad for the blind sheep on Facebook and Reddit, who flew into a PANIC last week.

In a perfect world our medical and federal organizations would see the light and opt for holistic healing and combine it with our medicines instead of working to make their wallets fatter. This is an opening to them to push a new botanical pain reliever and it would actually help them remove opiods from the medical prescription listing. Instead of pulling everything but Advil and letting the ill die while they profit.
my spell check keeps trying to change opiods to period....
