Best Whole Leaf Vendors?
Hello all!
I'm new to the forum, so apologies if this question has already been posed/answered-- I'm still combing through all of the posts:) I'd like to try my hand at brewing tea, and I was wondering if you all had any recommendations? (Though I toss and wash daily, I just haven't been able to stomach mixing the powder into hot water)
Thanks so much, wishing you all the best<3

Re: Best Whole Leaf Vendors?
Hi there,
I am kind of new to kratom so my insight isn't all that valuable but as others mentioned Krabot I thought I would note that I recently (2 weeks ago) ordered leaf of their White MD, Green MD and Gold Bali.
Haven't tried the Gold yet but the white and green are very disappointing, despite careful preparation.
(steep in lemon juice and pioerine black pepper extract, add 180 Fahrenheit water, hold at that temp a couple hours, freeze overnight and bring back up to 180 degrees for another quick steep.)
The vendors I tried previously were Herb Stomp in Portland and Kats Botanicals -- both were stronger. Herb Stomp only had powder but at Kats I tried both the white MD Powder and Red Crushed Leaf (the only leaf strain they had).
I made tea from all of them as my gut kills me if I do capsules/toss and wash.
I would have ordered more leaf from Kats but I wanted to find white and green leaf strains.
I had heard great things about Krabot in Reddit but didn't consider those reviews were a couple years old.
Shipping was fast. Payment was straightforward. Packaging was lovely. But a 4 gram dose of Krabot isn't as strong as two grams from the other vendors (for my metabolism ...I might be the exception).
I hoped I could return or swap the remaining unopened packets for different strains but the Krabot site says all sales are final (and reports in Reddit indicate they don't do returns)
For this reason, you might want your first krabot order to be small if you decide to try them.
Anyhow,s wherever you buy please report back with crushed leaf vendor tips and reviews.
Leaf tea is definitely nicer than tea from powder., even after multiple filter runs.

Re: Best Whole Leaf Vendors? Update about Krabot
I just wanted to give an update on the Krabot crushed leaf strains. My assessment was tentative before because I hadn't brewed that many batches but now I have and honestly, none are any good at all. (I tried Gold Bali, Green MD and White MD all crushed leaf).
All strains were first presoaked in lemon juice, then steeped in hot water heated to below 180F for a few hours (sometimes overnight), then frozen for eight or more hours, then melted, then steeped again for another hour or so.
I even added a piperine (black pepper extract) capsule in most attempts to enhance absorption and it did nothing.
I have since ordered fresh Kratom from a different vendor to be positive it wasn't me (maybe some weird tolerance issue) but it definitely isn't. If anything my tolerance is lower because relying on the Krabot strains for a few weeks effectively resulted in a Kratom-free vacation.

Has anyone noticed any difference between crushed leaf and powder? Doing the soak/simmer/freeze/simmer method with ACV seems to be the easiest. Although if your stomach can't digest the sut well it might not be for you.

Re: Best Whole Leaf Vendors?
if your cooking it over night or for hours I'd say that's your issue. crushed leaf tea can be done start to finish in 30 minutes.
and with CL u need to use 150% ur normal dose. say 4g is your dose. then 6 minimum should be used u can always not drink it all if it's to strong.
boil water, reduce heat , simmer leaf for 10 minutes, let cool add ice to shock it, , strain , drink
