My story of attempting to leave all my meds
I'm not saying this will work fo everyone nor am I giving medical advice. I'm just saying that this is something I wanted to do and the results I've seen I've wanted to share them with the group here.
I've been on ADHD meds for about two years now. I hate them if I'm being honest. I really do. But they help and I don't have any really bad "negatives" but I hate them because they really are inconsistent and I guess as I'm rambling on the more I think about how I feel when I take my meds and when I don't and just burn kratom I so much more enjoy kratom. Sometimes they are helpful but most of the time they just make me angry. And for people who actually have ADHD, meds like adderall and others in that class basically just put me to sleep. So it's not like I just take an adderall in the morning and now all of a sudden I'm superman. Sometimes I take mine at bedtime if my mind is really going.
I finally took kratom serious about 8 months ago and started exploring the good guy vendors and moved on from the bad stuff.
And it was life changing. Wow. Kratom works better for me and my ADHD than my adderall/vyvanse ever had/does. It's safer. Less harmful to my body. Doesn't make me feel dirty or gross. I absolutely love the feeling. And I can spread my dose out more evenly throughout the day and "amp it up" a bit at certain times if needed.
I have many other mental health/sleep issues that kratom has helped and I'm happy to share others if anyone is interested. Just send me a message and we can chat.
Edit: let me also say there are a few meds that I take that I know I won't be dropping all together. But my goal is to slowly work my way down at least in strength for now on my mental health drugs to see if I notice the continued improvement.

I don't know if going off meds and switching to kratom is the right thing to do is safe for everyone who has adhd or depression and sleep issues or even pain management guess it depends on the condition and how bad it is all i do know is kratom did work for me.it was a year ago i discovered kratom and I originally started taking it to help keep me sober.i have suffered with horrible depression and anxiety also sleep issues and been on alot of different antidepressants and anxiety also sleep meds i started out on prozac 20 years ago and on and off ever since I've been a lab rat for every new med that has came out because nothing worked doctors always ready to try something else I kept telling them nothing was helping they would always tell me it takes time several months for each medication to get in your system at least it's that way with antidepressants which I never understood i wanted to take something and feel better 20 minutes later.anyways before I stopped taking everything I was on syraquil, remron, prozac, zoloft and klonopin.in January of last year I stopped taking all of them and started taking kratom not as a cure all i started taking it to help with the alcohol and opiod addiction i have and over a period of a few months i started noticing and so did others that I wasn't as sad all the time my attitude was changing and outlook on life started sleeping better to.lookig back i think most of my issues were from the effects of to much alcohol and drug consumption but I don't know that for sure all i know is if im not on alcohol/drugs and I am taking kratom i feel better i don't feel like a million bucks or perfect but I can cope with life and I didn't feel like this before kratom i had periods of sobriety before discovering it and I was miserable and im not saying that i think kratom is the only way and I have to revolve my life around it im just saying for me and me only that it helps and works.

Yeah I'm not saying everyone needs to quit meds. I even mentioned I still take plenty of meds. I was just saying it's ok to be open to the idea that kratom may solve some problems better than prescriptions can.

Re: My story of attempting to leave all my meds
I take Adderall 2-3 times a day for Chronic Fatigue (I have Mitochondria Myopathy) and the stims give me serious ADHD! I also agree with you about not liking the way it makes you feel but needing to take it. It is so hard for me to focus when I take adderall. It also doesn't make me feel high or anything. Adderall just makes me feel normal/baseline
I've had success with Kratom as well as a replacement instead of taking adderall, but for me the fatigue is so bad and chronic that Kratom doesn't always wake me up like I need, not as consistent as the medication. But I also use kratom for pain relief so I take a lot of red strains. If I didn't need the pain relief I think I would be able to use kratom for energy/chronic fatigue instead of adderall.
I plan to get off adderall hopefully in the next year. I found a few supplements that seem promising that I am trying for energy. Nice story, thanks for sharing! It's great that you've found something that makes you feel better than the meds

Re: My story of attempting to leave all my meds
Thanks for the encouragement appreciate it! I actually just had my med appointment Friday and spoke with my doctor about starting a step down plan for my adderall. We are going to start in March. Right now I'm on (2) 30mg IR per day. High dose yes, but I'm 6'1" 280 with a huge tolerance. So this is what works. We started low and worked out way up.
The biggest inconsistencies with kratom is the lack of energy. I agree with you. I notice that it is hit or miss. I also notice that certain doses, no matter the strain, knock me out. So I just have to be careful with it. Right now I'm on a pretty good rotation of strains and dose size, so things seem to work ok.
Thanks for sharing your information. If you ever need anyone to chat with hit me up!
