Issues with plant matter?

Post by 7mitraZ »

Hi there!
I am new here and semi new to using kratom. I am just looking to see if anyone is having the same problems I am. So lately in about the last couple weeks or so when I wake up I have really bad back pain and then a few days ago I feel like my kidneys are killing me. I usually dose 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day and usually mix it with a drink too make it more palletable. I was wondering if it was the plant matter getting to me so I started using the red bubble method and I strain out the plant matter and drink what's left. I still get the same effects but they are more mild but the pain in my kidney area has almost completely subsided. Any help or thoughts on this are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to MM! A Tablespoon = 7 grams. So <> 30 grams per Day?

Just curious you started out kratom at this BIG dose... Why? Where did you hear, or what made you figure hmmm I'll eat an entire Ounce of this stuff? Yes some people have a reason... heroin addicts. Have blown out their mµ receptors' tolerance, so, large dose unfortunately. But... Large doses have side effects. Tired all the time, withdrawals, hair falling out, night sweats, on and on.

Cut down your servings to 2 grams/. 3X per day/ 6 gpd ? and.... Wah-lah all those nasty side effects probably go away? :ugeek:

Not "shaming" you, (A few snowflakes get all sensitive about kratom abuse.), You asked about side effects... That's my suggestion!

OP, welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. Your kidney pain could also be your liver, if your body isn't used to that much plant matter it will have some trouble processing it. It sounds like you've figured it out though by using the red bubble method. It's not because of anything that's in kratom, it would be the same for any type of plant. It's the quantity of it, not the quality. Back pain doesn't fit in with anything kratom related as far as I know, that may be something else entirely.

I use large doses and don't have any of those side effects you mentioned ballz, except for withdrawals after several missed doses, which is the same for almost anyone that uses it regularly. It's easy to overgeneralize. Everyone is different. You say you aren't shaming, then you immediately shame people for being "sensitive". If it isn't shaming, it sure is "dose policing" and kratom elitism. Note the OP never mentioned "side effects", he was asking about a very specific symptom. It seems like you just used this as an excuse to share your prejudice against ex-users and people that take more than you think they should, i.e. more than you.

Could it possibly be dehydration ? That can definitely cause your kidneys to act up. Kratom is very dehydrating. You might have increased your water consumption when you switched to tea and that’s why your symptoms lessened a little. You might try increasing your fluids even more and see if that doesn’t help. Good luck and welcome to Double M

I don't recall ever saying anything to You about your large doses? :) Again... I Reply to someone, who came here complaining about kratom Side Effects. Pain in the kidneys is certainly not "normal" for kratom... Maybe it's not the kratom? How should he/she figure that out? STOP taking kratom, obviously, and see if the kidney pain persists... Or, at a minimum, Lower down to what many of us consider a recommended Serving Size = 2 grams. Seems like a reasonable suggestion? This person needs help. Your suggestion was... Quantity is the problem? So we agree!

I was curious about WHY this person started out with large doses ?? You jump in getting all defensive about it... Gimme a break. If you feel ashamed about drug abuse, I guess that's a problem for many in our society... Kratom abusers are hurting everyone here. I just found out - My state is now again, considering a kratom BAN for 2021. Why? Because of abusers claiming the BS about kratom's a "opioid" for drug addicts. We don't need people crying about how kratom's to blame for all their problems... sheesh.

Every single substance, has BAD effects when taken to excess... why should Kratom be any different?? :ugeek:

Increase your water intake, if your kidneys are hurting your back will definitely be hurting cause of it it could be dehydration or a kidney infection and yes try to cut your dose at least half for a while taper to that and then later on cut more if you’d like just some advice good luck friend and welcome hope it gets better also buy and drink 100 percent cranberry to flush out Incase you have an infection

I think he's in wash state or oregon, however I'm not aware of any pending legislation set to ban kratom there, and in oregon I believe many drugs have recently been legalized, although there is some talk of making kratom 18/21 and up

What a ban in Washington hell no say it ain't so.
Hi 7mitraZ just wanted to say I had some stomach issues I have a history of ulcers before kratom and I was actually surprised kratom didn't bug it at first but of course eventually it did and I found the same solution as you have by redbubble ing and also making tea and filtering basically I just always mix up the ways of taking it there's some great ideas here.Dont worry ballz is kinda growls but you'll see he really cares it is surprising to me sometimes the amount people take but I think the most important thing is do what works for you,I m on the high side to to at 5 to 7 g twice a day but no more than 20gpd I take it for pain control and energy instead of prescription meds.Welcome to the doubleM
