Re: What strain/color is Gold?
It is different vendor to vendor, so you'd have to specifically ask that vendor what it means. For some vendors, gold is just a powder dried and colored between a green and a red. For others, it could be a mix of a 50/50 green and red. Most golds are just mixes in my experience.
Our golds are all fermented greens - gathered and transparent bagged and set outside for a time when wet and then dried indoors with little to no stem and vein.

^ this exactly. My A supplier does golds by oxidizing greens. It’ll be different vendor to vendor.

Oxidizing at least makes some kind of difference I would think (I don't actually know, not a molecular biologist or anything ha-ha) compared to (what I have read) some vendors just mixing a couple batches, maybe a green and a red, or a red and a white, or just whatever, cause it's all from the same tree. On that note, it is appreciated when vendors mention details about the finalizing/drying/fermenting/etc. process of a strain, I just don't always know what it means as far as the effect it will have.
