Hey all ,just registered here today.im wondering if anyone has used meridian botanicals in the last few months and if there back up an running or not.and if not,where I can find organic obscure herbs and extracts like they had? And just a side note but I'm curious if yall have heard of and or went through ethno spot in ann arbor michigan for kratom/extract?

Were they ever really in business?? They filled orders once a month. Literally. I got a few awesome tea blends from them and when I finally got to try them I logged back in to read that the monthly shipment day was too much for him and he was shutting down for awhile.

yeah they were. I went through 100 gram bag and went to order more, ordered 500grams, paid for it then they went silent. SOSA was having the same issues at the time and he disappeared as well. Fuck em'

Absolutely. FIVE years ago... . and for several years... He did invest a LOT in his business, obviously a very nice website. Had good reviews on Reddit. In fact... Read this. Just goes to show... HOW sketchy this whole business is. EVEN people who invest years of time and, $ money $ building websites, and Customer base, can have problems... ONE of his problems I know for sure, was... Payments. He got burned and ripped-off by 3rd Party CC processors. Kratom vendors a few years ago were commonly taking CC on their website, even selling on Ebay and Amazon (going back 5 years) and now... ALL of that is gone.

Several other good, established, vendors have taken BAD hits by offshore CC processors, losing tons of money. I won't name names but... Pretty much ANY vendor who was taking CC a couple years ago, got burned. Some very badly... And that's in addition to bad customers, chargebacks. It's a fucked-up business.

Wow the more I learn the more it surprises me how something like kratom is treated like this always being under some weird regulations that make no sense. In my opinion they should just treat it like the herbs we buy in vitamin stores like valerian root. By keeping it in this weird grey area it just adds more danger, and complications.

I may be mistaken, but wasn't the owner of Meridian named Koda (or something like that) and very well regarded in the herb/supplement communities (years ago, that is, when they were operated normally)?? Like, incredibly well-regarded and known? I remember when they had their credit card issues some time maybe 2 years ago or longer (time flies by so fast), and I wonder if that was what ultimately caused their business to go downwards.

I did order from Meridian a lot several years back (last order sometime in late 2019 I believe), and In my experience I never had a problem with them in at least a dozen or more orders between 2017-2019 (before these issues started happening to other customers). They were my go-to for Herbs, and they really had incredible selection and quality herbs, and lots of interesting/rare plants and blends. They had extremely detailed information and extensive/specific knowledge about the products and instructions for dosing/effects/etc. It sucks that they don't appear to be in business anymore, and disappointing that many people got negative experiences or lost money from Meridian.

I ordered a bunch of items from them over the years: Cat's Claw, their tea-pills (blends of herbs in a single pill, with variety of options for different issues, like some for pain, some for energy, or stress relief, etc etc) and some of these tea-pills I got from them were simply incredible... their Egyptian Chocolate mentioned above by Ballz (and they had a bunch of these unique teas, they once gave me a sample of a Chai tea that was amazing). I got great turmeric products from them, also Ashwagandha and Rhodiola Rosea. Basically I discovered and tried a bunch of herbs through Meridian. Is their any other herbal supplement websites that are comparable to Meridian??

I ordered Kratom from Meridian a few times, and the quality was good, not great and not on par with most of the vendors widely regarded and used here on doublemm, but good quality. I don't think Kratom was a large part of their business, as their other herbs were of the highest quality (at least in my opinion and experience using herbs from various other companies). Just wanted to share my experience with Meridian before they seemingly disappeared.
