Prices to get an MMJ card in Florida vary depending on where you are but average around $350 a year. It’s not cheap, but might be worth it if you suffer from chronic pain.
Anyway, back to the original topic. I had heard mostly negative things about extracts so never tried any. Recently was going on a trip and decided it would be a hassle to make tea so I picked up a pack of extract capsules. Not quite the same effects as powder but they worked fine were super convenient. Switched back to powder when I got back and had no tolerance issues.
Bottom line for me is that powder works great, and I really don’t have any need to “spike” it, but it’s good to have some when making tea isn’t convenient. I no longer fear the extract <cowbell plays>.
Are you afraid of Extracts?

Are you saying medical MJ or CBD have no THC? If so that's not true, there's a legal limit for CBD only but no limit for medical marijuana and we talked about how that limit for CBD is often exceeded so not sure what you mean. For CBD I've tried topicals, tinctures and flower and I agree the benefits/effects for topicals are not noticeable compared to the other two.Kelleytoons wrote: ↑Wed Oct 19, 2022 5:06 am Not only that, but it's without THC (they do NOT want you to get "high"). To me, grass without THC is kind of like decaffeinated coffee - I'm not really sure I see the point.
I've tried the various extracts you rub on and they don't do a damn thing for any pain I have, so I doubt whether edibles would either. But, again, I'd love to see it legalized here in Florida (if it was I'd probably grow my own again - honestly, kids, most of you don't know what that experience is like. It's almost more fun to grow it than it is to consume it. You get that much fun from the experience - and I was doing it in a place and time where even possession of an ounce was a felony, so I could STILL be in prison today for it. Fun to remember how insane I was when I was younger).

Re: Are you afraid of Extracts?
Extracts are def more addictive than normal leaf. It’s like liquor to wine coolers. If you can have self control and not do it everyday, they are great. I’d be lying if I said I can keep extracts around, I order like 10g every couple months and plan to take it everyday until it runs out and have a good week, followed by like 3 days of rebalancing to no extract and feeling less burns until I adjust. Just if you worry you have an addictive personality, ordering a large amount without experimenting w your self control could be a mistake.
Idk if it’s in my head, but it seems like extracts have less of a ceiling. Does mitra the chemical itself have a ceiling, or does it come from the anti opiates alkaloids in kratom, so the extracts are more like a classical thing, but I think that’s a little extreme and just more like classical, not full blown. Or is it a combo? I feel like I’m not being clear, hope it makes sense
Everyone should def start w normal leaf and only go to extracts if they need to.
