That was me posting about how much I recommend kratom for kicking bad habits (self destructive and/or unhealthy or risky behaviors, repeatedly). I have had my share of addictions (booze and then opiates). Never got uncontrollably addicted to weed, exactly. But I got to where I couldn’t sleep without it. So I cannot even use the Insense/Gold Leaf brand new CBD oils. Of course I got to try them when we first checked into formulas n stuff. The ones we have are very enjoyable! I really like the tiny buzz I get, even tho the amount of THC is benign. I hardly ever even feel CBD products I’ve tried before. This one, I only had one more sample, once the formula was complete, labels on, cool droppers with measuring guide on the dropper. I would abuse it, so I stick with the leaf we all love.

I hope the names didn’t confuse anyone. The Insense Botanicals name is the “home” website, product line for plantation resourced products. Gold Leaf Botanicals had to be created for multiple reasons (including desirable, expanded method of payment options) and for the wild grown/sourced product line. Both are interchangeable except for the strain sources.

I used to do ADMIN for the forum, ILOVEKRATOM.com (ILK) until I got a bit burned out and heaven brought Brandon, (SomethingSacred) to take the helm and he’s doing better than I ever could (but it’s a fun responsibility! I love helping people if needed, so that was very rewarding. Now I’m doing admin work on AKACHAT, and I’m on staff of the KRATOMAPP, the Watchdog, and I help out SUNFIRE on his DISCORD servers as time allows.

I met Rob, the proprietor of Insense and now both businesses, when he was first injured at work and needed to go on DISABILITY and he was horrified at the thought (he’s not one to sit still and relax). He has had addiction issues as well and recently celebrated 25 years clean (except for kratom and CBD). We both spent the (physically) best years of our lives drunk.

So when we both found kratom (having quit drinking at much different times), he wanted to supply his friends in construction with good leaf at better prices than was available at that time. Once he found a reliable source, then the pool of friends expanded and he needed to order more, and then more..and it kinda made sense to try quitting the construction he was trying to limp through and make the kratom supplier job a go,and the rest is history. I was not involved with any of this, I was over at ILK.

Anyway, I really do appreciate all of the stuff I’m learning here with this forum! Rob asked me to use his brand name online and do what I did before - online, keeping in mind the limitations vendors must abide by. I average an hour a day with the Insense label, but I’m in touch with the team pretty constantly. It took me several months to agree to do this because I am unbiased without a doubt and I’m staying that way. So, I can share what I’m interested in personally, AND I also am learning A LOT about the Insense/Gold Leaf brand and I trust the leaf they get without question, so that is why I’m happy to help.

I’m not partial because vendors have treated me well over the years and I never want to “choose” only one. There are SO MANY good ones! Every leaf experience is different, no matter who got it to sell: Big vendors, small vendors and those in between. I have no bad experiences with vendors of any size. But it’s not boring to be learning more all the time about kratom and making friends with kratom users, advocates, chronic pain sufferers...

Right now I am getting my second order from Denette, thanks to THIS GROUP OF FOLKS. THANK YOU! I’m hoping to try Rhino Remedies soon, too, but I have plenty of stock on hand right now.

Plus, Brandon (SomethingSacred) and I live in the same dam town, LOL LOL HAHAHA and I can always tap him for a try if I were to need some leaf until an order comes in! We are so lucky to be able to mingle with such kind people. Finding relief from pain, depression and or anxiety is the bottom line. Nobody should HAVE TO endure chronic pain. Depression and or anxiety is a fatal mood! Never underestimate it! My baby sister committed suicide in 2009 from growing tired of suffering with all 3 of those and a lot more mental illness. In fact, it was September 12, so the anniversary of that loss is tomorrow....

I hope that helps to clarify who Insense Botanicals is, why Gold Leaf Botanicals is separate (better ordering methods for customers AND a different product source) and who I am. I’m transparent and input is ALWAYS WELCOME and I am NOT always right! (LOL My mother is!!! OMG LOL)

I have been touched in particular by the coronavirus thread on this forum. Really touched. I’m so, so sorry to those who have lost loved ones and had no proper grieving options due to this killer virus. Just awful.

A lot of people here locally are truly at wits end with wildfires all around us, so now we are in lockdown from the smoke and ash flying everywhere (but we are safe and have not lost our home as many have). Hardly anyone is out and about, but I near got into car crashes twice yesterday because people are not paying attention with so much stuff to think about! So glad I had my shitt together. Very lucky, lol.

But. The coronavirus thread is very real, and I thank those posting there.

We have a trusted relationship or he wouldn’t have asked me about doing this. His business is EVERYTHING and the most important thing besides his Mom. Thank YOU both and many others for welcoming me! I really appreciate the genuine nature of the threads shared here, too. Feeling welcome is HUGE, and I’m very grateful for the kindness and sharing of thoughts on so MANY experiences/topics. In addition the wide range of never ending discussions on kratom. For being a simple leaf on a tree, it sure does stay interesting to learn more about most of the time. <— sounds a bit crazy but I’m not bored yet! Plus I forget stuff and have to learn it AGAIN.

I hope everyone is steering clear of COVID where possible AND dodging raging inferno fires going on in several states. And the many people who are battling/running from hurricanes!

Plus we are entering “earthquake season” for this area, so stay as informed and prepared as you can. And yes, air quality sucks still. For a lot of folks.

Quite enough people have already lost loved ones, too. It’s such a sneaky virus. Oh yeah and deadly. Many friends are losing loved ones for other reasons besides covid. No matter the method of loss, friends are having extreme difficulty with trying to schedule a safe opportunity to reflect on those lives ceremoniously and share on how much they will be missed.

Hard times with financial disaster is the icing on the cake, and my heart goes out to those suffering with sudden homelessness following any number of issues.

Thank you to the people working in the hospitals and the fire teams all over the country, working diligently to save homes and lives...and everyone showing up reliably in an “unknown safety” situation!

My heart goes out to all people affected by this year of disaster stacking, illness and otherwise.

I’m so hesitant about recommending a strain, vendor because quality may vary from shipment to shipment but I recently (June or so) got some Red Sumatra from Mitra Man that I liked. It was a slow one and helped me with sleep. Dennette is also a good one. I tried to get Red Bone but was too slow but I did get a sample and the verdict is very good, maybe next time. Like they all say you have to act quickly on that one. I don’t see how you can lose on this site, so much great advice from members. It’s been wonderful for me. It to has helped with alcohol consumption but be careful here, wds are a reality. It’s not talked about too much here but you have to proceed cautiously. Recently tried to quite CT, doctor says you may need an in house procedure and it would be good if you quit for awhile. Not ready for that one, it’s a bitch, sleepless nites in the arena so be careful that you don’t substitute one addiction for another. Let me tell you I learned my lesson the hard way, not recommended.
