You can contact the author. Perhaps we should send her some empirical data and suggest a different career for her lol

Boy Howdy, them kratom "hallucinations, delusions and confusion" are super duper terrifying! I've heard about kratom addicts jumping out of windows because they believed they could fly! And the flashbacks, OMG - one guy having a kratom flashback was convinced he was a dragon and literally ran through the streets of East L.A. literally exhaling fire!! LITERALLY!!! And a woman in Saskatchewan, Nebraska chopped off her arms and legs - and then plucked out all her eyebrow hairs WITH HER TEETH!!!

As they like to say in Texas - "Come and take it."

mivanqua, I read about what's going on with you and your kiddo a few days ago - ridiculous

I wish you the best with that. People are just plain evil sometimes.

Thanks, man. It's true, though. Articles exactly like this one are absolutely to blame for people's misconception about kratom. I was told just a few days ago by a friend of that camp that it's a "dangerous research chemical," and one of the last things my daughter said to me (on my birthday last December) was that "kratom is a derivative of heroin." These people get this shit from somewhere. Is there ANY SUBSTANCE that can be considered a "derivative of heroin?' Maybe monkey water, end of list.

Best case-scenario, it's to funnel money elsewhere (that clearly has WAAAAAAY more than enough money as it is.)

 Wow what a joke... sad thing is that this kinda garbage is whats going to populate when people search kratom on google with other key words like "news" and "FDA".

At high doses, the drug is an addictive sedative. It can cause hallucinations, delusions and confusion

Yup... watch out for those side effects folks. Don't burn and drive!

The difference, as I like to point out, is that things like alcohol (and, yes, prescription drugs) are backed by Big Money. So they can both defend AND advocate for their use.

This was the same crap that mom here in Florida pulled years ago saying kratom killed her kid (when he was clearly using all KINDS of drugs, many on their own would have done it without any help from anything else). It's why we need, at every single chance we get, to push back against any kind of "kratom is bad" sort of nonsense.

I agree...I just hope AKA has the wherewithal and financial resources to keep pushing back. Over the past 3-4 years I've slowly redirected all my political contributions directly to AKA. I submitted a letter of protest to my local senator about 2 years ago that AKA has since used to disseminate to other jurisdictions in the form of LTE. It's not much, but this exercise in truth is going to take a sustained effort! We are living in the most corrupt of political times ever! In the end (IMO) it will be all about $$$$ - it always is.

The fact that in 2023 there’s still this much misinformation is frustrating. This article reads like it was written 10 years ago, all of the studies done mean nothing to most media. In articles like these I always wonder if it’s pure laziness or sensationalism

To be clear, the ban in LA is in one small town. The ban was rejected by the remainder of the state...for now!

Big Pharma talks again. Don't read any of anyone's opinions about Kratom. They just want to tell you crap so y'all keep buying overpriced prescription medications that cause your body more harm than good! Kratom's positive effects speak for itself!

Remember, if anyone decides to contact this journalist, please leave emotions out of it. Be respectful and show only the factual data. Kratom has done far more good than bad.

Also, just as a head's up, I made your link into an archive.is link so we're not giving them page views/clicks and ad views. This is a great way to still show the content but not reward news outlets for poor journalism and false reporting.

I personally don't believe this second-rate hack "journalist" is worth communicating with. The problem with todays media is that if you talk to it, it will use things against you. And if you don't talk to it, it will use things against you.

Yeah, I agree that contacting this person is worthless.

Journalism nowadays is a completely hack profession. MSM in particular is a tool of the government and you absolutely CAN NOT believe a word they say (or print, or put online). With one or two exceptions (mostly on alternative sites) every single one of them is a whore. Folks who think they "know" things because they "watch" the news are idiots.

I may send her an email and just ask for her resources. Or where she is getting her information. Thats not wrong to ask right?

Jeff C used to call them "presstitutes." I always loved that

You can't believe what they say, but sadly people do. I was in no way suggesting a crusade. Unfortunately those who control the media control the masses

I'm no crusader, but I am a UGE fan of your leaf! Just received my first order - excellent quality. Regarding the press and other media outlets, turn it off (or down) and see how much better your life becomes! Just one man's opinion....
