Question about using Agmatine to keep tolerance down

Post by BirdieBoo »

I keep reading about how agmatine is great for keeping tomerance low, so I wanted to add it to my daily arsenal. I take all of my vitamins as soon as I wake in the morning, because other wise i will forget. Even the ones that say take three times a day or two times a day - never happens because I forget so I just do the once a day in the morning along w kratom

Can I also add agmatine to this concoction at the same time? None of what i am taking is prescription drugs, just daily vitamins, turmeric and kratom. I feel like trying to space it out and do it a few minutes before taking kratom is a bit unrealistic for my already scatterbrained mind lol

I already have a hard enough time remembering to take my vitamins and having to take kratom before I eat, etc that trying to add this as another thing I have to do on specific times is probably more than likely not going to happen. Any thoughts on this?

Make a list with times throughout the day you need to take whatever. Tape it to the fridge maybe?

I have to take prescription meds 3 times/day. I lay those doses out in top of the
microwave where I can see them right in front of me or I'd never remember.

Just now getting serious about Agmatine - learning about it - For me I think it's best to cycle it. Many supplements work that way.

So after reading the Agmatine Guide for Kratom Tolerance Management, I just finished 1 week of Agmatine, doing 750 mg / day.. Yes. It definitely did help with my tolerance issue. My dose was creeping up over 6g with less FX - I think after this week, its been lowered successfully by 2g - today I'm doing a blend with Stem & Vein only 4g total and getting a real nice buzz - so, optimistic it does work.

More experience needed. A guy on reddit who uses mostly for pain relief, was up around 9g per dose, and lowered it way down around 3g. Others have said, yes it works, but also changes the "burn" less euphoric.. I'd agree somewhat, it does change the feel a bit.. So stick with cycling 1 week every 30 to 40 days? That's the plan!!

What is your experience with Agmatine, how often and why? Thanks!! 8-)

I take 500 mg 1-2 times daily if I remember to. I mix it into water with a flavored drink mix to mask the bitterness. It definitely reduces my dose of slow, euphoric varieties (especially reds), and it enhances the relaxation I get from those. It also seems to prevent the escalation of tolerance. I notice the difference only 15 minutes or so after taking it. But I do think the relaxation is an inherent effect of agmatine, because it will slightly dull the effects of stimulating/energizing types of kratom. IME the benefits outweigh this drawback, so I continue to use it.

The Half life of agmatine in the brain can last up to 12 hours. That means it will take days for the agmatine that crossed the bbb to be fully eliminated, reducing the need to worry too much about dose timing.
