Hey what's up everyone , I just found this forum , I've been needing a place like this for a while! Was anyone apart of the kratom connoisseurs forum back in 2014 and on? Is this forum related in any way? Seems very similar. Really miss being able to see reviews of vendors and batches, after kcforums.com stopped and other Facebook pages were shut down I've been completely out of the loop with new vendors and also just life being crazy and busy with kids. Anyone do the gift exchange during Christmas on kcforums.com? Miss those days but this forum has the same vibe.

Hey, welcome to the Double M! We aren’t associated with those other forums, but I’m glad you’re enjoying the vibe here! 8-) We have a great community of kratom veterans who’ve been around the block a few times and definitely know their stuff.

Hey! I was part of KC Forums/Kratom Connoisseurs and I think my username was...WhiteAngelica. I checked my inbox, since I delete absolutely nothing, and my last KC forum contact appears to be 2017? I miss the old vendors and the ones that were around before Kratom became illegal for a spell. Remember how everyone was cleaning out their warehouses? Like, no one could have any Kratom to vend whatsoever. It is interesting that when the ban was lifted though, how quickly some were able to resume business. Do you remember some of the vendors that closed up shop for the ban and never came back, like Garden of Eden? I used to love a place called Portal Botanicals. There were places that were good before the ban but after, couldn't return to their former status. I loved HB&M. Sourced by Masochista. Mmmmspeciosa. DG. 7ohm. Kratom online. Motark. SoCal. Herbaldom. Botanical Bunny (now gone). Euchasia? Canopy, Indo Elephant. Herbal Cafe. Acadica, Herbal Salvation, remember Doodle with Fresh Alternative? FA had the best Yellow Vietnam I have had in my life. Herb Research? Still around. Speciosa Specialists, Speciosa Pro, Taunton Bay, Entheofarm (very much around and very much a favorite vendor!), 5280. Mood & Mind was a 2015 choice for me and one of the vendors I started with, like Greenleaf and great vendors that used to ship in zip lock bags. Did you have a favorite that used Ziploc bags and a sharpie? Now people will talk about how they like the gold bags over the brown bags and really get in there with their opinions. But the Ziploc and sharpie is a MUST.

All the vendors above I didn't necessarily love and I am missing many, many that I did. DG is still around and I'd like to try him but I'd need a recommendation first. I returned to Entheofarm last year and that was an amazing decision. I've returned to Herb Research for a 1x a year purchase. Herbal Salvation, now Viable Solutions, still has the Maha Kali of yore. I really, really loved Garden of Eden but after 2016, they were out of the game. Portal vanished and I'm still obsessed. I miss HB&M and we all miss SoCal, I think. Do you try any of the vendors of 'back in the day' as they've relaunched over the years?

What I miss about the KCForum days was that when I loved a vendor, I LOVED A VENDOR. I would live, breathe and eat them. Now, it feels like new vendors are constantly proliferating and I'm really nostalgic. I miss the old DG #Bali and Fresh Alternative and Mmmmspeciosa & HB&M and also how Canopy and Mortark and my beloved Botanical Bunny and SoCal were so affordable. These last guys were max $5 an ounce but I think Canopy was even less. RVA? I still order from. All Natural Artisan? A couple of years ago they had the best Red Bali around. I lurk around.

Botanical Bunny has been offline since late last year and I literally cried. I will check to see if they are back and I'm not having much luck. I wish I could get my hands on more of it. And now, we have vendors closing their doors (so to speak) and 5 years from now we'll murder for their vintage stuff.

Anyway, I just took a verbal barf down memory lane and I'm sorry to not have asked for your consent. 2014+ and KCForums brought back a wave and there is so much more to remember. There was a review site called, I think, the Secret Garden or something and those reviews were bangers. I often ordered just from reading the specific strain feedback and I wasn't ever disappointed.

Wow I love the response thanks so much you brought back so many great memories of when I first found this life saving plant. It's crazy that mood and mind was your first vendor because that was also mine in late 2013 early 2014 , I think my second vendor was mmm speciosa which I think is how I found " the mitra dialogues which was the original name of kcforums.com, mmmspeciosa.com really introduced me to great kratom. There was so much great info from very Informed people on the site that really broke down the alkaloids and also the argument of kraytom vs kratom lol I think I'm still I'm in the minority of pronouncing it with the cat sound. After the site closed I stuck with ordering with a leaping leaf through text or whatever generic Facebook type vendor for quite a while. Doodle if I remember correctly worked for buykratom.us then still sourced through their connections to create fresh alternatives, buykratom.us had some great leaf and what was considered really good prices at the time, definitely remember that yellow Vietnam. I remember mmmspeciosa.com selling off kilos during the ban for great prices , I still have a lot of respect for that vendor, I think Ken? Was his name? Always doing things for kcforums.com community. So many different vendors sacred plant life had some great white borneo I still think about lol , kratom warehouse, Speciosa pro, bikhuk, dg botanicals ( still get an order here and there) I still have some leaf from hb&m, he opened up for a short time then sold off kilos for cheap . Great to see that there are still some old timers around.

Yes! Ken had this insane Baik/Sunset/Tuaa etc etc stuff that was maddeningly good, but I remember that his Plantation Red was so solidly excellent that not only did it ameliorate my pain, but it made me want to clean with gusto and joy. If you bought one, you'd get one free. Yeah, it was pricey if you wanted a kilo but back when I was still on training wheels, I didn't do kilos. I think he is still around and I am interested in trying the vendors of yesteryear to see how things are. Anyone who managed to start before us and continued and managed to relaunch after the 2016 ban is hardcore. Btw, I remember that Doodle was in Rhode Island but they banned Kratom there. Bastards. I still have that Yellow Vietnam bookmarked in my senses and years later, nothing has come close. I'd also eat a bag of bees for her red horn, and hell, for that mmmmspeciosa Plantation right now. I confess that Mood & Mind was my 1st official vendor, but my first vendor was a lovely older gent on FB who sold 'sunglasses' and probably still does. I have to thank those people in that group...first time and we had powder everywhere. The counter, floor, air...I had no idea how much to take and with what so I ran to the Bodega covered in green dust after a toss and wash FAIL. I bought something gross like strawberry Nesquick and mixed my new 'sunglasses' with a glass of the stuff. I mixed it with a spoon. It didn't mix. Oh well. Drank it but barely but in enough to make a difference. There was little online then and I hadn't found the 'Mitragyna Dialogues' yet. It was me, my boo, and a FB group about sunglasses where people were patient enough to guide two dorks through our many Kratom fails. Getting the green spoon from Herbal Salvation was a game changer (I still have it. It broke in half and looks like exactly what you'd expect from a spoon used multiple times a day for over a decade). It took awhile to be less than a Kratom idiot. I think I should try out those sunglasses again, but FB gives me hives now. I can't do it. There was that moment though, or many of them, when I actually took enough to feel something. Those moments were glorious. I moved and it was weird, but the Nesquick made me officially barf. I switched to juice, then grapefruit juice, then I screwed up my teeth, but that took many years because of I try and toss and wash, I start laughing and it pours out my nose like when I was 5 and at my best friend's birthday party. I drank chocolate milk and laughed and it came out of my nose and my chair fell backwards and hit the floor and I immediately barfed on the carpet. Then we played pin the tail on the donkey. Everything is the same now, only no sunglasses but vendors and forums and Reddit and MeWe and a few other groups I was into during the early years. Everything is the same except I no longer dump green dust into my hair, get fat from strawberry Nesquick and failed Kratom attempts, and barf on the carpet after laughing too much. Ziploc bags are now shiny Mylar, lab tests are essential and ordering has become a thing of 'drops'--and seeing small vendors I've cared about get swept out of the game because of Indonesian shipping drama, small batch sellers having shipments seized, or not being able to compete with the latest, greatest buzz. It is sad. Botanical Bunny has hit me hard. For the vendors that have still hung on through all of this --the ban was bloody traumatic! I want to try them again. I have just become much, much more poor from when I started (what started off as pain in the good old days is now disabling so I had to quit my career) and I don't have the extra to take an exploratory journey into the Kratom of yesteryear but who knows? I have to believe that the present isn't permanent. It never is. I love those early days though and I remember how *serious* the connoisseurs of Kratom were and I felt like a kid in drag. But it opened me up to a number of new vendors but was always too shy to write my own reviews. I will comment but seldom do I write my own reviews --I don't want to be called a shill or whatever. I wish I were a shill! But there are some folks here who do excellent reviews and we could use more of them. I will do one if you will. I won't even mention my decade plus old nostalgia for the society of the green dust!
