I suppose a lot of you've seen the email from Oties about kratom seizure from stores in California. It's taken everyone by surprise. The California Department of Public Health has announced that kratom is a "dangerous and illegal" substance in California & their agents are raiding minimarts & gas stations with kratom displays & seizing their product. A San Francisco Newspaper had a story on it, & the reporters did a good job checking with state lawmakers, who confirmed that kratom isn't illegal in this state except for 3 or 4 cities who banned it. The DPH personnel evidently think they can ban things at will. I suspect this action is only going to stop when they get hit with a huge lawsuit.

Never bought headshop kratom, online vendors only. Definitely seems like DPH is overstepping their boundaries.

Everyone that lives here we should start a class action lawsuit. I don't buy from smoke shops and don't really support them but what CDH is doing is absolutely disgusting.
