Idaho votes today on banning kratom
This information is from Viable Solutions. It's of particular concern to them since their business is located in Idaho. This is an unfortunate development to say the least. California is heading that direction, too. And those pushing the bans are using the same old lies that the FDA & DEA were using when they tried to ban kratom nationally: "it wrecks your liver; people are dropping dead from it; kratom is worse than heroin!" There was one online article that said it poisoned an entire college sports team! These lies came from somewhere & the likely suspect is the same entity that pushed the national ban - the DEA.

I'm trying to see how the vote went, but I can only find 1 article from today about this and it's behind a paywall. Does anyone know what happened? I'll keep looking.

Looks like they put the vote off TEMPORARILY.
This Crapo guy has a fitting name, I'll say that.

I have good news! KTVB/Boise Channel 7 reports that the State has banned sale of 7-OH & any type of enhanced kratom products, BUT kratom leaf products remain legal. I know some won't like this, but it's far better than a total ban

I love 7ohm, but would drop it (and will likely have to either way) in a second for this outcome. I still take kratom WITH my 7ohm because they work better together, but screw 7ohm, it gets made naturally in your liver anyway...that's kinda the beauty of it.pray4peace4 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2026 5:51 pm I have good news! Viable probably paid a pretty penny to get that outcome if you know what I mean. (wink wink

Good news! I'm beyond cynical in regards how most States have no fracks to give about widespread fentanyl laced heroin users populating the sidewalks and shooting up and nodding off, but at the same time their legislators engage in virtue signaling chest thumping as they try to demonize Kratom use.

...all the while citing "public health" and accepting obscene amounts of self-masturbatory checkbook fluffing thanks to already multi-multi-fuckin billion dollar garbage pharma shitbags due to the "losses" they heroically endure because of a basically inert LEAF.Babel-17 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2026 9:32 am Good news! FENTANYL ADDICTS NODDING OUT BY THE TEENS OUTSIDE OF A WAFFLE HOUSE AND BEGGING FOR MONEY = GREAT AGAIN! (just experienced this on the way in to eat some breakfast for once.)
I'm not wishing harm on anyone that does these things to us for profit, but....also not saying they don't deserve it if it comes.
Most of these states are even walking back on pot, and as soon as they started that bullshit, we should have known full well what EXACTLY was next.
Much love old schooler from another old schooler whose future is looking more and more blurry every day because of these cunts. Meanwhile kidnappers and rapists walk scot-free and even have positions of power. Hokey ass bullshit you ask me!
To anyone who thought I wasn't still me...here's to ya! Hahahaha!

I thought we were done having to worry about kratom being banned once we got rid of old Scott Gottlieb. Now politicians and news sources are lumping kratom in with 7oh and extracts. Even with that they're pushing lies. The sensationalism and fear mongering is working on people who are too damn lazy to do their homework.
