Ohio Wins the Battle!

As many may be aware we in Ohio had a public hearing on the Board of Pharmacy's proposed rule to ban Kratom. Myself and many many others showed up to testify and tell our story. In the end, BoP has taken its final hearing scheduled for Monday off the agenda!

Per the AKA: In the end, the voices of the hundreds of kratom advocates were heard loud and clear. The Ohio Board of Pharmacy has decided to put the kratom ban in a To Be Refiled (TBR) status and it will not be the subject of a Hearing before the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR) on Monday. The kratom issue has been removed from that agenda.

The American Kratom Association is proud to have joined the thousands of Ohio residents who raised their voices in this important effort.

This is HUGE - Thanks for the update!! yeah a few days ago, they were saying BoP had already decided to BAN, and was going through the motions today.. Sounds like people's voices were heard. Finally!

Big Thanks to the AKA - they have done long, hard, work and excellent work in Ohio. . This IS what AKA is for... Not lobbying to promote head-shop vendors in their GMP program.. Not getting involved in Indonesa politics. Not fear mongering with false rumors, on Facebook to raise donations.

Well, BoP did already submit the rule for approval with JCARR, the elected officials (state reps) that can approve or reject board rules, which was scheduled for Monday. And JCARRs Director was at the hearing today sitting in the back, and I'm thinking he heard the testimony from all walks of life and possibly decided he didn't want to touch/approve this politically, as it would likely mean lost votes. That's just my theory anyways.

Oh, and coincidentally enough, couple hours after the public hearing started with 200+ supporters, an Ohio Senator said he was going to introduce the KCPA in Ohio.

Word up GoldLion, thanks for that and thank you for all you are doing for the cause. I wish there were more people motivated enough to actually do something to fight this desire to ban kratom that has been crafted by these pharma companies in order to boost their opioid pill sales.
