Does color and smell mean anything?

..maybe I'm just spoiled because most places like RVA always have product that looks and smells so great but it has me wondering if color and smell are markers of anything? I just opened my SOS order and the strains are all different variations of dull green/brown/yellow and it doesn't really smell like anything. This shouldn't be cause for concern, should it?...

I would say not just yet. Go ahead and try it: kratom is only "fresh" for a while, but keeps for years if it's kept dry and airtight. So give it a shot, the powder may simply have been stored longer than you're used to. There can be a correlation between initial presentation and quality/results, but it's not absolute by any means.

Now if the results are as underwhelming as the scent/appearance of the powder, definitely let us know! But it may also be great, and there's your answer: you pretty much just have to try it. Hope this helps.

I will def let you know!
You know somethings kinda off with me..I'm assuming its tolletance but the last week or two I have only been getting a headache and a little stimulation/agitation from absolutely everything. I was low so I assumed I was down to the strains I didn't like but I'm not so sure.. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help :)

I had this same exact problem a couple weeks ago. I bought from a vendor I hadn't used before, and was getting weird side effects (anxiety, dysphoria, irritability), it just didn't feel like it should. I had received six strains and put a pile of each next to each other...same shade, no discernible difference. I was really worried, I asked around and was told it happens, sometimes you just get unlucky and get crappy leaf, so I chalked it up to a waste and put it aside.
Not wanting to give up, I tried it again 2 or 3 weeks later, and everything seems to be fine, all the strains work for me and it's definitely decent kratom. I still don't know what the problem was, tolerance, body chemistry, adjusting to the different alkaloid content, not getting enough sleep(!), a combination, whatever. Such is the leaf.
Could be the same thing with you, definitely give it some time and try again, don't give up hope. Do some research on mewe swap and sell for the brand; in my case I saw other people trading for my exact strain and batch number, so that was my first clue that what I had wasn't just junk. Either way, someone may know what you have and want to trade for it.
