[MOD EDIT: This old thread was bumped, so please disregard the "changes" below. We made general discussion and reviews separate forums a while ago. They are not being merged together as stated in this 2+ year old post.]

Hey all, in order to keep this more to the format/feel of reddit, I have merged several forums together. Reviews and discussion will now be in the same forum to keep everything flowing like it did on the sub. That way there's not a bunch of different boards for the time being. We can always separate things as the website grows.

Additionally:

1. Colors and layout have been adjusted to be easier on the eyes (hopefully).

2. On the desktop version, I've adjusted the CSS so that profiles now appear on the left side of the screen, instead of the right.

Let me know if anyone has any feedback, additional ideas or suggestions. Thanks, have a great weekend!

ha! i was like "where did all the reviews go??" Personally, i prefer having a separate forum for reviews and one for chat, but that's just me. No biggie either way. Thanks!

Yeah, I would prefer having separate forums too, but I think everyone is used to the reddit format where everything was all in one place. I kept having to move threads around, so I figured why not just put them in 1 spot for the time being. We will definitely be separating them later.

Until it becomes too big, this is not bad. We always have search to find something we saw a few days ago but can't locate quickly.

I am genuinely surprised there aren't more people here TBH. This is a great place so far and many thanks for putting it together. I can see why the changes were made as a way to pull in more refugees from Reddit. Very happy so far!

Thanks for the kind words! It's off to a slow start, but hopefully it picks up momentum soon.

I agree and was wondering the same thing. IMO, this is MUCH better than some of the other "chat" style sites. Maybe people are just tired of moving all around? Might just need to spread the word a bit more in the other areas? I think people just aren't aware this is up and running. GREAT job on this, much appreciated.

I've been spamming the link here in there and people are still surprised to see it sometimes. I noticed it if I post the link in chat, shortly thereafter I'll see whoever has signed up.

yeah maybe we should post on kratom, but i think it could just be that when reddit changed the rules most got angry and left reddit? then we have those who like to use reddit for other subs that may not want to go back and forth to a forum and reddit?

What amazes me is the civility! There's very little conflict between members of the community...and when it
there is, it's not nearly as vicious or drawn out as a lot of the other sites! It really is a fun place to hang out
and learn about such an amazing plant without all the psycho-drama!

Absolutely!! A big thanks to all those involved for providing an amazing free forum to express ourselves and learn, learn, learn. I have a hunch as to why discourse is so civil. We ain't talkin' wings vs boneless (hot ass debate around these parts), Abbey Road vs White album (obvious choice) OR EVEN 90s SNL vs 80s SNL (oh please)...it is a simple discussion about a truly miraculous and beloved botanical. If you can't feel the warmth, from inside or from others then you need to switch vendors.

It's not that. It's just a matter of reducing clutter, although at this point it's a bit of a lost cause. Some forums are a little more concerned with that and encourage users to use the search bar, not here though. Personally I could do with out 47 TFH threads and the other redundant threads but I'm not the boss. No biggie.

Although I do agree that this thread was necroed unnecessarily, in this case. If it's something like say, potentiation, I think it's better to reply to an existing thread that already has a bunch of useful information than to start a whole new one asking the same questions. Just look at r/kratom, they have the same threads day in and day out. Not a week goes by without a poop thread
