They've been closed from Coronavirus for a while, and it's a little bit expensive, but the Baik Bali crushed leaf from mmmmmmspeciosa is pretty amazing. I've only gotten it second hand though, never from mmm.

Liza has good crushed leaf I got a beautiful red bubble prepping it as well.

You could try Krabot. Back in the day, it was some of the best CL around, Imo. Still have it and still hits nicely. It looks like they still have the strains I purchased years ago so maybe good... maybe not.

I really enjoyed the red horn CL from galactic!!!

i picked up some fromm ff, a wmd and gmd, excited to try. i made tea this morning from powder (7 g of luckys borneo balst) using a malita pourover coffee maker filtering thru the paper filters they sell. took a while to filter thru (about 15 min)https://www.amazon.com/Melitta-640446-P ... ou&sr=8-12

No comment. Altogether I've got about 50 grams of that old baik sitting around. I just got a coffee grinder too, so LOOK OUT! Hey! I.think I'll grind that up RIGHT NOW! Here I am moaning and groaning about wanting Baik Bali and I have the best available! I'm so fuckimg stupid sometimes!

The Baik Bali is soooo good. Don’t you just love using older powder and CL... I do. Taunton Bays Red Bali and SGM CL is another one of my favs, 2016/17. Stuff is still outstanding!

For the record, I ground up 33 grams of the Baik Bali crushed leaf and I must say, best burn in WEEKS! The stem and vein adds so much depth sometimes. I'll just call it "Baik Bali Coarse Grind" (the coffee grinder special!) I took one dose, but the rest is going straight to.the bug-out.box for special occasions.
And YES! HappyHulu, i.LOVE consuming the vintage stuff. I've amassed quite a collection hanging around these parts and I really enjoy having a classic when the mood strikes me. I wouldn't say its BETTER, just...different...

Hahaha, that’s great to hear! I just received my 4 way split CL order from Gumby and wouldn’t you know it, they’re all vacuum sealed. I love that but also I don’t want to break the seal so to speak, lol. I’ve collected quite a bunch of powder from TFH and I refuse to open them. Please tell me someone’s crazy like me and hates to open those beautifully sealed packages.

I know this is an ancient thread, but it was the thread I read myself when I was looking for crushed leaf so I came back to report that based on old, positive reviews of Krabot, I ordered five different crushed leaf strains and nothing I purchased was any good at all (I greens, white and a sample sized gold). .
Nearly no effects, even when brewed triple strength. And I'm careful with my tea. I always simmer at sub-boiling temp for at least an hour with lemon juice and bioperine, then freeze overnight. Almost always get a red bubble or at least a red film. No bubble or film with the Krabot.
I think maybe good crushed leaf might be harder to source because it's kind of a niche item. To be fair, Krabot wasn't my first bad experience, just the worst.
I purchased the supposed exact same strain in both powder and crushed leaf from Kat's at one point and the powder made markedly stronger tea than the leaf, which was very weak.
Hopefully I'll succeed in placing an order with TFH at some point but until then I'm sticking to powders -- it's a messy way to make tea, but my budget is too tight right now to experiment.

Unfortunately, TFH no longer has CL on their menu. I ordered the CL TFH Blend so hopefully I'll get that in my last order of the event I'm waiting on. Not sure where I'll get it after that. I love their GMD CL, don't very much from the Sapphire Sunda one, and am waiting on there blend.

Wow, Heather, that's too bad. I wish one of the more reliable Kratom suppliers would contribute to this thread as I would love to know why leaf seems harder to source.

You would think that because it requires less processing it would generate bigger profits than powder.

(Apart from the fact that I only use tea, even when it comes to cooking spices I generally prefer to order whole herbs and grind them as needed).

Before the sept 2016 scare, i got a hold of baik baik crushed leaf, i sealed them right away into smaller packs. When i do use the crushed leaf, i feel it every single time. Indeed that was the best crushed leaf i ever tried and i tried a bunch. Fire leaf all the way. I am even scared to pull it out and use it, want to save it for very bad shit hit the fan days. I dont understand why there is not much sourcing from vendors for really good crushed leaf? we all know the demand is there.

@brave777, are you recommending mmmmmspeciosa as a vendor? I know they are expensive, but maybe it's worth it? I just checked their website (I never heard of them before) and all they list is powder, no crushed leaf at all. Have you tried anything else from there?

There was a person who had aquired a TON of the Baik CL and was selling it to lots of folks on reddit. That's where I got it from, maybe brave as well? mmm is STUPID expensive, to be sure, but Ive been tempted to snag some from there as well...just to see.

Yeah back in the days when i didnt know better, i spend good money. Now i know kratom should not be over 100$ a kil, back then i even had a kilo 300$. How crazy times changed and more vendors popped up with quality with way cheaper. I did order once from indo and that was very good too quality wise, thats if you dont mind waiting times. Regarding the mmmspesiosa crushed leafm i got it before 2016 and never bought kratom since then from them so cant give advice if they are still good from what i remember their leaf was good but expensive. I dont know now. I mean i might be forced to sell some crushed of baik baik in near future if i really need the money but for now i dont. If you can still get a hold of baik baik crushed from someone else i can assure that is some really good crushed leaf.

this thread is about a year old lol, i actually got some.cl from shaun of fused flora that was excellent, alas my tea "phase" was short lived, ive been back to the good ol tnw for quite some time now but i do ocasionally make some tea

Ah nice ! Fused is great ! Yeah mine as well. I still like to try to keep it in my rotation once in a while.

Powder is okay for tea, but I prefer the crushed leaf. You get the stem 'n vein profiles with the leaf and it's less messy, too.
