Anyone else get a disappointing batch from Soflo recently?

Or even better, has anyone ordered a batch from Soflo before April 24, and subsequently noticed a dramatic difference after that date?


Soflo was out of stock for like a month or so in March/April. I ordered the Super Green the exact day (4/24) Soflo finally restocked and it is hard to even compare it to what I got back in December. The bags weren't vacuumed like is normal. They were sealed, but because there was air in the bags, they looked like they do after being opened for a while. Worst of all though, the stuff tears up my insides almost like food poisoning.

The Soflo Super Green I got back in December is still hands-down the best kratom I've ever tried from any vendor. I tried a couple different vendors looking for something similar, but nothing compares yet. I even ordered 5 different Super Greens from Benni Botanicals, and all 5 of them were exactly the same. I couldn't tell any difference between any of them.


I'm curious if anyone else has had a subpar experience with Soflo in the last month or so. I'd definitely try again if it was just an issue with the delayed shipment. The fact they were out of stock for so long makes me think maybe they even just used a different supplier to fill the shelves for the time being. I think if others noticed a difference in Soflo recently, that theory is probably pretty likely. I even messaged Soflo about it, but didn't get a response. I've gotten responses before, but not this time.


Also, this is the first time I've made a repeat order with the same vendor. Maybe this sort of thing is common? I mean, is it pretty difficult to get a consistent batch sometimes?

When SoFlo exploded on the scene last June, I contacted Nick and bought his Super Green. Fantastic strain! When he released Super Asia I got some. Later when Super White came out, I got some of that too. All three were amazing strains.

I cannot speak to his current quality levels.

Remember, this game is all about batches, not strains. So a good general rule, even with my go-to vendors is sample small, buy big. I do not know what all vendors do with sub-par leaf. But I do know that they all get it from time to time.

So if you want 2019 Super Green maybe someone on Trading Post can help you out.

At the end of February I got an order that included: Red Bali, Green Ultra, Green Crushed Leaf, and Super White. All solid offerings with the Super White and Green ultra being stand outs for me.

I placed an order mid March (18th) that did included the Super Green. It was packaged as you describe, sealed but not totally vacuumed. I have seen variation with packing from vendors like this before, so I didn't think much about it. I placed that into storage and haven't tried that batch. Stomach issues are a concern, so I appreciate the possible heads up. I'm interested to see if there's additional feedback on this specific batch from any members who have tried it. Curious, do you T&W or use the tea method?

I have ordered the last 3 restocks from soflo. Always super quality leaf that hits just right. I ordered a larger amount of quite a few different strains this restock and overall the quality is decent and I feel it, which is saying something as 70% I usually don’t BUT compared to his normal super high standard I would say this is a few steps below and doesn’t blow me away like the last few. This happens. hopefully next time it’s back to that really high standard I’ve come to know soflo for.

That seems like a reasonable explanation. I suppose I'll have to give it another shot and hope for the best.

Oh interesting. I assumed it had something to do with the late shipment causing a rush to fulfill orders, but sounds like this change in packaging happened before that even.

I typically just mix with warm water. I did that with this new Super Green for probably less than a week, trying to gauge the serving size and other factors. Pretty quickly, I started finding it hard to swallow though - like my body thought I was taking shots of tequila. Once I realized that, I tried some of the White Maeng Da I still had from the December Soflo order and it went down like normal.

I switched to making a tea with the new Super Green, which seems to avoid most of the nauseating effects, but it is much less potent that way and the effect isn't quite the same.

I'd be very interested to know how your March 18 Super Green is once you get around to it.

BUT compared to his normal super high standard I would say this is a few steps below and doesn’t blow me away like the last few.

That's basically the impression I got as well. Aside from the stomach issues, it still had similar (positive) effects as the previous batch, just not nearly as pleasant.
