Anyone know where I could send kratom in order to get tested

Looking to do my own third party testing. Any ideas? Contaminants mostly, although I'd love to get actual alkaloid levels.

Not to dissuade you but I believe that it that is extremely expensive to test, and you have to get a rather large amount of it tested at once. But I'll let someone more knowledgeable about it take over.

A few things to note regarding labs:

- If you want to have kratom tested for microbial content, do not open the product. Send the bag unopened and let the lab collect samples (you can request they send the remaining product back to you with most labs, be sure to ask in advance). Once you open the package you may introduce all kinds of contaminants, especially if you are taking samples from the product you have already used.

- I wouldnt waste money on alkaloid testing - its complete nonsense. You can send 4 samples from the same bag of kratom and get 4 wildly different results..... even within the same lab. Its pretty much operator dependent, because you are talking about insanely precise amounts of chemicals being used. If the slightest calibrations are off, everything is worthless beyond that point. You are dealing with nanograms of injection material, even a tiny air bubble that is too small to see in the syringe will completely skew the results. It would take an insanely skilled operator and the lab would need to run a new calibration check each time (they dont) in order to be accurate. Also, different labs use different methods - some use menthol, some use acetone, some use a vortex shaker, each with giving different results. To put in short - alkaloid level testing in kratom has more to do with marketing than it does anything else.... dont waste the money.

I agree, I tried the same batch from the same kilo to two different labs and gotten two different results for mitra and 7ohm. Chain of custody and treatment of the sample is important, make sure you call ahead and know the lab's procedures.
