Comparing Greens Vs Reds?

Post by DontSlipBananaClip »

I have not taken a red in over a year and a half. I recall them being too sedating for me to take as I enjoy the daytime super happy/energetic feel Of greens. I am little versed on reds as I’ve only tested 1 or 2 varieties EVER. Can anyone give me an in depth explanation of how a very good red compares to a very good green? I ask because I might risk it and buy 500g of Smiley’s Premium Red Thai because of its amazing reviews. I’m always hesitant to try new things. I just hate wasting a dose on something I don’t end up liking considering I try to keep my tolerance below 10gpd. I refuse to redose just because of a cruddy burn.

Maybe buying 500 grams of ANYTHING is not a good idea right now. The easiest path forward is not always the best path forward. There are sleepy reds, daytime reds, relaxing/chill reds, euphoric reds, tingly reds, etc. If there was a “one size fits all” strain it would be simple, so the best plan is to try smaller amounts and find what works best for you.

I've always took a slightly higher dose with most reds because of two reasons 1. going for a different effect, lower dose is more stimulating, higher is more relaxing.. 2. Because reds are generally weaker than greens and whites.

Maybe you should try a slightly higher dose of the reds you have? I've noticed a lot of people saying that reds don't work for them and some are stuck on their self imposed rule of not going above a weight on a scale..

That is a mondo BINGO right there! **High five @CatfatherB

Tis' a game of relativity for my meat-suit and the best dosage weight of one strain is certainly not congruent with each and every. Much less when comparing different vein color as well.

I personally up my red's significantly enough that cutting reds out for a few days could be a tolerance-control-measure in my world.

For the OP...

It would be tough for me to compare and contrast just RED vs. GREEN. I need not/will not get into the aspects of why but rather say that when I see RED, I think what is trying to be conveyed is A) slower by comparison and B) more relief dominant instead of excitable to the senses. Beyond that though I'd really need to compare specific red's and green's to talk on this because the truth is, some greens make better reds and vice versa IMO

And alas, as is always the case with kratom dynamics, we are left with more questions than answers.

Kratom is based on individual chemistry. What works for me may not work for you. Reds work for me for chronic pain but then again some greens do also. It's a crapshoot. Work with different strains and weights to find your sweet spot
