Toss & Wash and Kidneys

I started the t&w a few months ago. In the past I’ve mixed with liquids or took capsules but preferred the t and w because it was easy on the go and hit faster and harder, it seemed like to me. I now have a kidney infection and know that’s not 100% Kratom at fault, but curious if anyone else has noticed some similar issues. Like for instance, if I take 2 teas. and down with soda, I immediately need to pee, super urgency. And also I feel my kidneys are struggling (lower back pain) I learned not to take it that way anymore. However, I still want to t & w and hoping you’ve got suggestions on how to safely. Have you had kidney issues with toss and wash?

I use about a tbsp of Kratom a couple of times a day. I have been using this dose for over two years now. My first 6 months I had a lot of stomach issues. I have always don't toss and wash. I don't know about kidneys, but I kept on and it eventually went away.

Im going to venture and say you're not going to get any proven scientific data that would support T&W being safe for your kidneys especially if you already experienced some kidney issues while doing that exact thing. The best advise anyone could give you would be to use one of the other countless methods of ingesting kratom that is easier on the kidneys.
Also dose size, doses per day, would also be valid info for this topic.

To my knowledge, kratom doesn't affect the kidneys? I've read that stuff like gabapentin should not be taken if you have kidney disease.. r/kratom has a ton of documented antectdotes from people using kratom for years now, it would be a great way to research that, I hope I've been helpful in some ways and my advice to have benefitted someone, I'm sorry you feel that way....

Lmao its sensitive thirty in this country right now. I literally wasn't saying anything negative or disrespectful to you my guy. Kidney issues are nothing to take lightly. If you were having any real kidney issues i was giving honest advise to use any other method just incase the high leaf matter of T&W was affecting you negatively. Like aero press tea or anything other than T&W.

I personally had my very first kidney issues the exact same time i started toss and washing. I didn't have it medically linked by a doc or any studies. But i did start getting repeat kidney infections. I had 3 over a 4 month period. As soon as i switched to tea i stopped getting kidney infections. The T&W was literally the only thing i was doing different in my life during that period. But i do acknowledge that its possible the T&W had nothing to do with my kidney infections. But the coincidence was too much for me to ignore. I know theres prob a million peeps out there toss and washing all day with zero kidney issues ever.

I take Cranberry supplements. They really really help with urinary frequency. I started having bladder twinges constantly when I first started taking kratom and the 4200mg cranberry supplements work like a charm !
