I haven’t had any type of extract in almost 2 years when I first started doing kratom because I enjoy the unique feeling of different powders. Anyway, I’ve seen liquid extract before but my local head shop is selling green powder extract For a cheaper price just for me to try. Is it normal for extract To be in a green powder form? If so, how is it even made?

So there's about a hundred ways to extract. When we say extract, it just means taking out some of the stuff the substance to leave some of the remaining "good stuff."

Most of the headshot extracts are made with chemical extraction, usually alcohol, but there's many ways to do it. In your home, tea is an easy way to extract. Another easy way is the red bubble/freezing. Each of those methods removes some if not all of the plant matter, leaving the alkaloids and some other residues. Typically extracts are labeled in multitudes of 5 of the original product. For example, in a 10-1 extract, 10g extracted results in 1g of residual product.

Again, there's easy ways to do this in your home such as a freezer or a tea kettle and they are both methods to produce "extract", in the case of either, you could just allow to evaporate to leave the residue or simmer it off to make a more refined one.

For alcohol, acid, peroxide, and other extraction methods, these are much more efficient, but cost prohibitive unless you want to make a very large batch.

Often what I have seen is regular powder, usually bunk, sprinkled with a small amount of extract to make "enhanced powder", though not specifically an extract, it can be as strong or stronger than regular powder and some consider it an extract because it contains some, and is green.

A weak acid could be used to extract, unfiltered, could produce a green extract, though I don't see the purpose of leaving the plant matter if you've removed some of the alkaloids already.

Using extracts will raise your tolerance super fast and in two weeks you'll be back here asking why Kratom doesn't do anything. It's one thing to use it for pain in an emergency or getting through opiate withdrawals. Aside from that, don't do it. You'll regret it when Kratom doesn't work anymore!
