Hi everyone... Been using botanical bunny for a long time and never encountered this. Mixed up some quickly with got water and noticed something "chunky" in my mouth. I instantly spit it out in the sink and was a little scared as to what I would find...turns out there were two tiny pink flowers in clumps of Keaton. I have never read or heard of this before and I'm a little freaked out now. Even stranger, I would think the petals would be old and possibly dry and they seemed fresh almost (possibly the hot water rehydrated?). Super weirded out now...

Any ideas?

That’s bizarre. I ordered from BB once and wasn’t really impressed with the quality.

what was it? name and batch/lot number? Obviously this is worthy of an email to BB. Very likely to be sorted in your favor privately.

Send them an email, they will definitely make it right. BB has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced next to TFH

I've had clumps in my kratom too but I figured it was just the nano grind stuff since it doesn't seem to mix very well which is odd. Maybe it's flowers this entire time. lol are suppliers cutting their stuff to make more money? Or is this just unnecessary paranoia. I swear I had kratom one time that was definite cut with cheap matcha tea it tasted exactly like it and did nearly nothing.

I have no idea what's going with this post.

It's a one day old account and they haven't responded to my messages so I'm in the dark.
They joined, made a post, and haven't been back since.
We haven't received any emails regarding flowers in our kratom and it would be something really difficult to miss during the order processing anyways.

Additionally, on that day we had a large number of fraudulent transactions detected against our credit card processor.
Someone attempted 135 CC transactions using multiple cards from a single IP address.
I can only assume they were trying to get our processor shutdown.
We've tightened our thresholds on our detection systems to prevent something like this from happening again.

It's been a weird week.

Perhaps we'll add the option for toppings to your order like the yogurt shops have.....flowers, mini M&M, or sprinkles.

Glad to have BB chime in on this and shed the extra light (amazingly there is always extra light when it comes to posts and issues like this). It is so bizarre someone is so gung ho to sabotage other peoples' livelihoods. Good on BB for both detecting this issue and taking measures to further tighten down. My guess is this person (or this account...) wont be back at all, ever. So sketchy.

This doesn't sound right to me. By the nature in which kratom is produced, it's very unlikely that this kind of thing would be present. I could certainly see other plants being in kratom, but you would never know it because they would be in powder form and completely unrecognizable. Once kratom is milled, it's shot directly into this huge container like sacs that then gets directly packaged from there. I just dont see how bits of a flower could make it into the powder whole. The one exception being of course is if they packaging inside a floral shop... but I dont think that is the case

If you are going to find anything, the most common thing would be human hair. If the suppliers are not wearing appropriate PPE (in this case a hair net or at least a hat) it's bound to happen if they are not using a product sifter. Really I think it could happen to any vendors. I personally have found hair in the product I have ordered from one of the biggest US vendors (who I know have a GMP operation) - so yeah... it can happen to anyone.

The craziest thing I have ever found though was a live caterpillar, the thing was actually perfectly alive and well! I found this in a bag I bought from a vendor around 2012-2013. I was about to put the bag away when I saw some movement in the bag right before I sealed it up. I poked around and couldnt believe what I saw.... it was an amazingly vibrant green caterpillar (I would say it was beautiful if it weren't in my bag of kratom ) I contacted the vendor and they basically told me that it wasn't possible (like I had caterpillars chilling in my bedroom that found their way into my zipped mylar bag of kratom). Knowing what I know now, I could see how it could be possible for the little guy to crawl into an open bag of powder while they were packaging. Im guessing he just chowed down on the kratom powder to stay alive.

I suppose anything is possible, but intact flower pieces doesn't sound probable to me.

Yeah the human hair seems to be a common sight for me which can be gross but I get why it happens. It's usually very easy to see as it doesn't mix in with the powder and sort of sits on top of the powder. I once found a pretty significant wood chip/shard in my kratom one time which I only saw moments before I was going to take it. Not sure how that may have happened but it was 3 or 4 years ago. I think it's best to be bit on edge if you're consuming the raw powder quickly give it at least a thorough inspection first. Never seen or heard of flowers though.

Keep giving them a try. BB is among my very top vendors. I can recommend a dozen amazing batches I have, at least, in my current possession and batches to look out for. Trust reviews. I will start making them more often...

I’ve found quite a bit in my Kratom. Lots of hairs, small piece of wood, and shit tons of stems. This was all from mystic island. I’ve found a like clumped up ball of spider web in a gold md batch I got from a popular vendor here. I really can’t blame them for that though, shit happens and their shit is always hair free so I never said anything about it and still won’t.

Mystic island has gave me some fucked bags with shit tons of stems in them multiple times last year. It was good Kratom so I sifted it and ate it anyways but Jesus their quality control is horrible.
