Whelp, I’ve been redlining my tolerance again!
For a while I was on an EOD schedule but slipped back into daily getting through some circumstances. I’ve always had a high tolerance, but now I’m redlining my tolerance again to where I’m just at the bridge between effects and side-effects. I’d love to walk it back down to something enjoyable.
I’m just curious what strategies y’all have used (besides a cold turkey) to bring tolerance back down.
Should I just straight up cut my dose in half right off the rip?
Should I drop down to a kind of standard minimum (3g-5g) for a high tolerance user?
Should I just keep the boogie man at bay but go as low as I can possibly go for a while?
Your experiences and insight are much appreciated!

hey whats up dubnation, i have been where you are buddy. i was dosing 10 grams 3 times a day for over a year straight about a year ago now. ive been doing 3 7 gram doses since and man it has made a huge difference for me. have top notch burns all the time of course there are days here and there where i dont have that great of burns but for the most part its great. at first its not going to give you great effects but just ride it out for awhile then all of a sudden boom it will start hitting beautifully at a lower dose.

Re: Whelp, I’ve been redlining my tolerance again!
I just got done with a 2 day tolerance break. I try to take a t break the first two days of each month. Unfortunately I skipped it last month and was late this month. But when I started seeing a major decrease in pain relief and mood boost I realized I shouldn’t be skipping months. Sorry to ramble but to answer your question I just go cold turkey. Doesn’t make for the most pleasant two days every month but I’d rather get it over with quickly rather than drawing it out.

I will take away one of my doses for some time. Like I’ll get to where I’m taking it 4 times a day, so I’ll cut one out and do just 3 times a day. And once that adjusts I start taking less with each serving. My bedtime dose is the easiest to cut back because I take some sleepy time extract I buy at my work and that gets me ready for bed. It’s easier said than done cause I’ll have a busy day at work and end up piling more servings on

Here we go again, Thank You for posting!dub12Nation wrote:.... where I’m just at the bridge between effects and side-effects. I’d love to walk it back down to something enjoyable.
So "good effects", and negative "side effects", and the tolerance.... ALL based on consumption.
How much? How long, How bad the negatives... are getting? Everything's a sliding scale. This ain't Rocket Science!
General Principle = "Less is More".
Sorry for the long Reply - All suggestions here are good. 2 day T breaks work wonders.. Taper down may be better... if your GPD is out of control? Do you have a scale, and the mental discipline, to handle a gradual taper? Definitely ride it out! On a Taper... get ready to feel tired, or no effects for a week. Agmatine Sulfate is a useful tool. Research and get some!

Drop you're dosage by 1-2g for around 4 days. You may even notice some effects may come back but don't expect that to happen however it does happen for some. From there you can either continue dropping your dosage(1g< every 4 days) to lower tolerance or go back up slightly and you'll get awesome effects from that dosage. I tend to do this every 4 - 8 weeks for about a week or two. It's done a great job and moderating tolerance and I've been using kratom for chronic pain for over 5 years now. I've also had good success with just switching to filtered tea for a few days then returning to using the full powder. Tea will not last anywhere near the duration of consuming the powder so keep that in mind.
Also frequency of use is IMO more important than the dosage. If you're constantly redosing it's staying attached to your opioid receptors much longer and this will damage tolerance much quicker than taking less frequent heavier dosages. If this is the case start spreading your dosages out longer. Start by stretching it an hour or two longer, then 3, then 4 ect. Try to get it down to taking it only twice a day then once a day. This will dramatically lower your tolerance much more than cutting your dosages. This has been my experience with most opioids even dangerous ones, kratom is a bit different but the concept is still the same.
I DO NOT recommend you stop cold turkey it won't help much past a day or two to lower tolerance. Your brain will dump norepinephrine and your cortisol levels will skyrocket. Your sleep will be absolute shit(unless you take something) and this will disturb your brain from actually starting to heal and will stop your opioid receptors from efficiently recovering from frequent downregulation. More importantly it's uncomfortable and isn't an ideal situation for anyone.
